ATTENTION Don’t you be the next victim on getting ripped off he locked me in there for no reason and I called police to get me out . I showed the police I paid on time every month and for 3 years $300 a month and I walked out with nothing I paid in total around $12,000 .just like all the others did paid on time ,Then he showed up after the cops and
slammed on his brakes jump out and started recording the 3 woman officer and he is gonna charge them for trespassing for them and me it was only June 17 2 days after I gave him a 15 day notice and I still had 13 days left on my moving out notice he then cancelled my code to the gate and double locked my unit well then he told the police that he wants $250 cause of the garbage outside he lied and the police wants prove from the videos that i put stuff there and he said I don’t have time. but there wasn’t anything left out there from anyone and if your trying to get that $250 from him that it is a legal matter and it wil b decided in court. Ihave lost a few good paying jobs cause I couldn’t get there $7000 with no tools in total for 3 weeks work people just read all of these reviews they r all the same crap that I went through he needs help a sick sick man my sister lives in the hat and said I wish I knew u where renting from mark because he is the same here a small town goes around fast I lost everything I owned around $40,000 for no reason as soon as u tell him the 15 day notice is when it begins on stealing your stuff and takes it to the Medicine Hat storages he owns and some goes to a storage action’s he took a picture of the motorcycle that’s not mine and showed me it is in auction it went for $975 for $40,000 of my stuff so the police told me at the police station to cut the locks off and that police officer said that’s what he would do especially when I showed them prove I paid on time for 3 years and I did so at the police station he said I’ll give u 1 hour to go buy a battery operated cut off grinder and I’ll send some officers to the storage and they showed up there he told the police that now it’s up to $400 for me cutting off the 2 dollarama $5 locks well then a week later he wanted more another $300 on top of the $400 for July rent so now it’s $700 and don’t matter about the 15 day notice so buy by the time it was all said and done it went up to $975 and get my stuff out but I can’t be there and I’d have to get movers in there and not me so I said look it u are already ripping me off and u think I should trust u again and I know my stuff ain’t there anymore cause u watch from the other side of the wall that the first thing to go was my motorcycle 1100 Yamaha classic then everything else he had the one guy that sells furniture out of his 2 storage units and he paid him to help take my stuff out of my storage then I text him and said don’t u get involved or else and he did anyway his name is Amoa. I told him I want my dads ashes and my grandfathers war metals my and wouldn’t give me them and that storage was full of valuable things all the nice furniture with antiques everything u need for 2 bedroom apartment witch I was ready to move into plus all my drywall and renovation tools and u name it I had it $20,000 in tools for my work Now tools like paint machines. Scaffolding, texture machine, 2 mud boxes $500 each ,mud box handle and and mud pump $1,000bazooka taping machine $1,800 and tons more $20,000 in tools and $20,000 in furniture ,Machanic tools air tools and big floor jack and motorcycle ,and tons more Now the next day I went back to the police station for another police stand by and they said no because mark came to the police station and threatened them with trespassing and me too and even thou I was paid till the end of the month June mark was worried every day for the last 2 years that every time I came in and out for tools he kept thinking I was moving out cause he wanted my stuff and he knew how much I had in there $40,000 in all

I originally posted a 3 star rating and have changed it to a one star.
I had no problems with this place until this year when I found my unit double locked even though my rent was paid up to date. They did not have a key to open the lock & their bolt cutters did not work. I was unable to get what I needed for work that day therefore loosing a day's wage.
The person trying to get the locker open was going to inform the manager of this situation but I never received any calls or text from the manager.
My next issue was damage due to water leakage in the unit which destroyed various items and I have never received a call or response to my email with photos of damaged items & or text that I sent.
If the management at Peigan trail would have responded to me, my rating might not have dropped.
I have since cleaned both storage units that were paid up to date & moved to another storage place
I will no longer recommend this storage facility due to their customer service which is almost non existent...

SCAMMER!! This guy owns another self storage place in medicine hat and he scams people there too! My family had to report him for fraud and backcharge $280 to him because he kept our security deposit after the unit was returned cleaner then when we got it, and claimed that I was there after hours and he had to dispatch his security. I indeed was there after hours because he forced me to stay there and listen to him yell at me on the phone for exactly 9 minutes and 4 seconds. After hours is after 8pm. It was 7:51 and I was about to lock up and leave. His goon forced me to stay in my unit while the owner took out his coke rage on me screaming incoherently. Without notice the credit card got charged $236 for that incident. I had belongings go missing as well, the units are slightly smaller then the building, just enough for a small hallway at the back to sneak in and out of. Speakers, clothing, a couple amplifiers and CD players. One of those bags of clothes contained a shirt that my now deceased ex tie dyed and gave to me. It opened up an old wound, now I have nothing left of him now. I hope one day you pay for scamming all of us.

Worst experience ever! I had a storage unit for about two years, during which time it was broken into once. That wasn’t the worst of it. Last month I decided that I didn’t need the unit anymore and canceled it. This month I was charged again, except an extra $20 on top of the old price. When I called to ask why I was charged again I was met with an extremely uncalled for, belligerent reaction, which included actual threats against my life and livelihood. Do not use this service!
PS If you do make the mistake of using these guys, take pictures when you leave. My unit was pristine but the incredibly rude attendant claimed they had to clean it.
Update. The owner Mark decided to add insult to injury and added 2 extra $150 charges to my credit card. I’ve been ripped off for a total of $450 for absolutely nothing. I also learned that he tried to charge my credit card a dozen more times but the bank blocked him. This waste of skin is the lowest form of “human being” and cannot be trusted. Woe be to anyone who believes any of the fake 5 star reviews that are posted.

Cleaned the entire storage 20 days before was charged for entire month still i paid full and was kept on played that i will get my deposit. Upon requesting for deposit the owner says abusive words for no reason and tells he sent request to accountant to send deposit back which is in vancouver.

I personally got ripped off by this Indian owner of Peigan trail storage.

Be aware I will make sure to spread the awarness to the entire community so no one else gets ripped off by this filthy business.

Verbally abusive- Threatening-
Be careful while giving your credit information. This east Indian owner will keep on stealing your money from credit card even if you have it all documented proofs of clearing the storage professionally cleaned.

Be careful do not even think of getting a storage with this garbage business.

This company has taken over Lakeland Storage in Sylvan Lake. Called me yelling at me that I had to pay$100 because I didn’t give 15 days notice I was leaving my storage unit. I have been renting it since July and paid every month. My contract says I only have to give 1 day notice to leave. He said he won’t honour my contract. He locked me out 2 days before the end of the month. The absolute worst customer service there is. Buyer beware ,this business should not be in business.

Very Scary situation. We were late 10 minutes getting out of the yard. We have been with this unit for over 6 months, This was probably only the third time ever going there. First time was moving in and one other time dropping off a box during the day. Tonight we went to pick up a suitcase. Instead of being understanding the owner called threatening to call the cops, saying it is his property, yelling a screaming at me telling me to go back to my mothers place to sleep, that I am a thief and that he wants our things out in morning. We have always paid and never ever been at this unit at night or at anytime except the two times. I, am myself a professional woman who works at a bank in management and am very concerned on how this person treats and threatens their clients who pays for him to have this business. I am shocked, scared and worried for my safety. This owner also charged us for a month that we did not use in the storage. Please be very careful when working with this person. No business ethics, very aggressive and abusive service.
