Airport Taxi Service - Edmonton, Alberta

We took the airport taxi from the airport on Feb. 1 around 6 pm. The driver was originally from India. He asked us personal questions and commented that we must be well off to afford a vacation. He asked us what we do for a living. At that point, it became uncomfortable. Then, when we paid, I paid. He mocked me and said "oh so you are the boss. Yes, boss!" as if prejudicing women. It was a very unpleasant ride!

😐Although it was a bit confusing on how to " order a taxi " when we were at the airport.

🤔There were taxi's waiting in a row. And two guys chit chatting. ( One in car, another standing outside, beside the car )

🥴I tried to get a cab and they both hesitated , & stood around speaking in their own language. I didn't know if they were going to give us a ride...

🚙 Eventually the one dude in the car did . He drove off to the side .His buddy walked away.

✅ And we were good to go.

Absolutely horrible.. landed last night at 1am, went outside and jumped in his taxi. I told him the address and he was very rude, he wasn't logged into his taxi computer so he just searched the address on his phone.

I live in Leduc only 11km from the airport, when we got to my house the charge was $31 !! That's absolutely ridiculous we were in the taxi less than 10 mins since i live so close to airport. I fly frequently and every one of my taxi rides is around $15-18. But since this guy wasn't logged into his taxi computer I'm not sure if he just made that number up or not, but at 2am I was so tired and just wanted to go home so I didn't question him.

On top of everything his trunk was full of tools and he just tossed my bag on top of all his tools. Very un professional I will never rake this cab service again I'll just stick with the yellow cabs

The 118 Unit Bus driver has the worst attitude. Said by him...he has lot of personal stuff in the front seat (so he denied access to use it). Also personal stuff in the trunk. Where are passengers and suitcases supposed to fit into?
He refused to help on put the luggage in the trunk. Even when we told him that my husband just had a surgery. Which doesn't have to be a reason to get a professional service. Save yourselves some frustration. Call UBER instead.

Had a very tight deadline to pick up a rental vehicle from Edm International Airport (EIA). Called a couple other companies, but Airport Taxi had the quickest response by far. Nadeem was a great driver and got me there on time — thank you so much for your professionalism and helpfulness!!

I cab at least twice a week. The drivers are awesome, friendly and helpful. Dispatch was very nice too. Definitely recommend

I recently used ATS on two airport runs and was happy with the service. Both drivers were courteous, professional and the cab was clean. The first service was booked online and the second a random late-night airport pick up. Narendra is a gem!

Sammy was my driver. I Shared a ride with one of Sammy's regulars, Bob, from the airport to Clareview. Bob and I agreed to split the fair equally. Bob offered to pay for the entire ride, but upon stopping at his destination, Sammy cut his fee to 35$. Bob was surprised, to which Sammy explained, "What? You're splitting the fee, aren't you?"

When Sammy dropped me off at my place, he proceeded to hose me for the full $65.00. I argued with Sammy, and he lowered it to $60.00. Sammy knew what he was doing and knew what we had all agreed to, after all, he would never have said, "What? You're splitting the fee, aren't you?" Sammy misrepresented the prices to please his loyal rider. Do not support this business. Take your business elsewhere.

Shame on your, Sammy. There's a reason you got no tip from me.

When (and if) the company responds, I want to let the company know that I will be responding back, time stamping it for everyone here to read, and we can have a public conversation for everyone to read. Go ahead. Let's see if the Airport Taxi Services will allow me to air their dirty laundry by responding. If there's no response, then you, the reader, know exactly what's going on. Use your head and don't fall for these fake responses "apologizing for unacceptable performance" or "We hope you reconsider us so that we can regain your trust." This is clearly repeated failure over time.

This company is full of apologies, but will they issue a full and complete refund? Please, go ahead! If you do, then I will change this review.

Update 2024/09/23:

Despite the response given by the owner, no refund has been provided by Airport Taxi Service. Unless they put their money where their mouth is, do not believe the response. I promised that I would keep this review updated over time and this is the update. I will continue to give updates as their response to my updates continue over time.

What was the result of the investigation? Will a full and complete refund be issued given that your "standard of service" was violated? Will the company claim I'm lying? Only time will tell.
