awesome location. All the staff really helpful and they approach you asking if there is anything you need. It is a great experience to shop here. Alice in the bathroom section was amazing, she spent a lot of time with me choosing out a shower screen and faucets and she even went to the back to print out some more information for me. I think this is the best Home Depot location in the lower mainland and they have a great team

I have always recognized Home Depot for its friendly and helpful staff, and this is true for most employees at this location except for the managers. I have been a long-term Home Depot customer, purchasing tens of thousands of dollars worth of tools and materials over the past decade. However, my experiences with the managers at this location have been consistently unpleasant.

So far, I have dealt with three different managers here, and none of them were friendly or helpful. On my last visit, I was purchasing flooring materials on regular price, but most of the boxes were open and nearly half-empty. Since I was in a rush, I didn’t mind too much and simply asked to speak with a manager to request a reasonable discount on the open boxes missing planks. I approached the situation politely, but when the manager arrived, he was clearly in a hurry and treated me as if I was wasting his "valuable" time.

He reluctantly offered a $30 discount on a $2,000 purchase, which was ridiculous given the missing pieces in each package. When I expressed my disappointment, he dismissively said, "If you don’t like it, that’s fine. You can leave them here." His attitude was completely unprofessional, and as a result, I decided not to make the purchase at all.

This experience has put this location off my list entirely. I have no idea how Home Depot selects its managers, but it’s frustrating why they would choose people who are so disrespectful and unhelpful. The way I was treated made me feel like I was trying to scam them.

Yesterday we shopped at Home Depot for materials to build two small wooden indoor AC covers. Yesterday we lucked out. In all the years we’ve shopped at Home Depot we have never had the customer service we received yesterday from two of your staff members. We first approached Ingrid H. and explained what we wanted to buy (small finishing nails, half inch screws and brackets), instead of telling us which aisle to look in she took the time to take us to each item and made sure we were getting exactly what we needed. Then we walked over to the molding aisle and found Tony from the lumber department, who mentioned to us that this was not his department but would try and help us. Again my husband explained what he wanted to build and even though ‘this was not his department’ he not only helped us select what we had come in to the store to buy but also made helpful suggestions which we very much appreciated. He also cut the molding to the size we needed. I will always remember the days when you walked into any store and you automatically received great customer service which is now sadly lacking in most stores. The help we received from these two people was impressive. Thank you Ingrid and Tony!

Be aware of their price match policy. It is not as what it has been posted on their website. It is based solely on the opinion of the store associate and manage. Better just to buy from the store who is putting on the sell promotion, save time and frustration. The bigger question is why are we supporting an American outfit in the time of tarrif and annexation of Canada from the American President!!!!! đŸ€”

Good service stops once you paid for your order. I paid for delivery and installatation. These two services are not provided by Home Depot directly and do not communicate with each other at all. My delivery did not arrive on time at the warehouse and I had to call both ends numerous times to coordinate. I wish Home Depot can do a better job making this process less stressful for the customer, especially since the point of paying for additional services is to have a seamless experience.

An absolute joke of a store. I rented a dehumidifier here for 6 days and returned it via the barcode the person behind the counter who was with zero people said that was better. I then asked if he wanted to Inspect it while I was there to clear up the bill. He said no. I leave e and 15 mi it's late I get my recite and jt has a 40$ charge for damage protection. I don't ever remember asking for this or being given an option about it. I call and the first person tells.me it's mandatory. I look online and don't see anything about it. I call back and the second person tells me that was no be cleared when you rent something ( I was never told about had no idea about it) he says I needs to go back. At this time I'm already 30 mins away from the store. An absolute joke that companya can get away with out training any employees and now get ti scam me out of 40$ unless I want to waste an hour of my time. Congrats home depot you ha e Robbed me of 40$

I purchased an item from the terminal store and was given the wrong item. Went to this Coquitlam location to get the issue sorted out and was helped by customer service. The lady from customer service was helpful but had to verify with a manager she could change the item despite being from another store. Manager Amir comes over and immediately raises his voice and starts verbally accosting me yelling at me and literally putting up both his hands in front of me and says I don’t want to deal with this. He starts making weird half baked analogies about different stores being like Mercedes and BMW dealerships and some other random irrelevant points. He made zero effort to help answer my questions or resolve my issues. I think he needs to retake his bullying and harassment training because honestly if that’s how he treats customers as a manager I can’t imagine how he treats people he works with. I’ve never had a retail experience where I’ve felt so needlessly demeaned and berated. It gets to the point where the lady from customer service who was originally helping me felt the need to step in to de-escalate the situation by getting another manager. I’m a calm and reasonable person and never raised my voice but I honestly wanted to punch this guy in the face for yelling at me. The other manager was helpful and answered my questions. I ended up driving an hour in the rain to the original store where they fixed the mistake without feeling the need to yell and berate me. I’ve purchased thousands of dollars of tools from homedepot in the last week but this whole experience makes me want to return everything and buy it from KMS or summit where I won’t get yelled at for Home Depots screw up.
