We have always filed our boat propane bottles here. It was always $8 for a 5 lb tank. Since the new owners they tried to charge $10 for 5lbs! Then today $14.00 for the 5 lb refill!!! I refused to pay it and they said okay, $8.00 just this time. Next time $14.00. I will not be back. I believe they have not filled the tank either.
Ask the price before you get a propane refill and check the weight to make sure you are getting what you pay for. We eill be refilling elsewhere.!!!

Nice to have a full service station. The fries and onions rings were old and dry. Inedible. The chicken and mojos were worth a star or two. I won't be making the trip for the food again.

This is a great gas bar. We rolled in for the first time, recently, and being from the City we angled to get into a line quickly as we do. The attendant was confident and polite when he instructed us that we'd actually cut the line, that another car was waiting; and that he'd love to serve us once we'd joined the the queue. And that.was.awesome.

The service was good, the staff professional, and judging by the hot queue it's doing a healthy business. Keep it up!

I have come to Vanderkemp for different reasons in the past two days. I received Excellent service from an attendant named Parker. He was incredibly polite, and helpful and assisted me with multiple purchases and storage access. Phenomenal Customer Service from this young man!

We stopped in to fill our propane tanks and get a bit of diesel, the full service was excellent. Our poor attendant accidently overfilled our trucks tank...by a lot and she was so mortified! I know she didn't do it on purpose, so we paid for the full tank. Everyone deserves a break sometimes. I hope she had a great day, she really was awesome🥰

This is for the tanker driver who would have had every right to chew me out because my vehicle was blocking his exit at 10 pm. I had just hit a baby deer minutes before and then ran out of gas as my old clunker had a defunked guage. Instead of getting angry at me he offered help and empathy and kindness. Thank you so much. Vanderkemp services people are the best!

I have had excellent service when it comes to appliance parts. They really go the extra mile. I'd say it's safe to say with the huge effort they'll spend looking for a part for you, if they can't find it then it probably no longer exists.

Best place to get gas in Powell River, always friendly staff who work there. Appreciate the young kids who pump the gas, always a blast to talk to!
