Ten stars at least.

A huge Thanksgiving thank you to the gent who helped track down my purse, which I stupidly left on the deck of the Malaspina Sky. With the help of the ferry crew and the staff at Saltery Bay, not only did I get my purse, but I made the 5:15 crossing to Comox with time to spare.

Best ferry in town!

Terrible ferry between Powell River and Comox. Somehow we wind up on the slanted section at a 25° angle every time. They make every attempt to funnel people upstairs to spend more money. On top of that when they first had the new ferry built there were over 200 deficiencies that needed to be corrected. There's no way to evacuate the elevator in an emergency. There's no acceptable evacuation for the lower-deck, so you need to risk Covid up-top if you're put down below.

I like all the signs here even the "smoke free" signs...how sad they tear down the arrows that is following passengers to the designated smoking area because of the smoking ban. I also like the vehicle decks identification like starfish and seashell and stairway icons like the orca. I like the change of them in 2018. On the Queen of Alberni there is one more mistake the sign used...the seal's whiskers has been missing.

Brand new ferry can't handle the run with any kind of poor weather. You may be trapped on the island or mainland if the ferry is canceled. Be prepared to spend the night. Unpleasant workers on Comox side. Rude and dismissive.

Boy! Bc Ferries sucks. Their service is terrible. They're crazy expensive. And their staff are off the scale rude.
