Amazing food made even better by the excellent service. Opa sushi has such a cozy and charming atmosphere, the open kitchen adds to the excitement, allowing you to watch the chefs in action. Everything was honestly delicious and i can’t wait to go back.

What a pleasant surprise! Locals told me to stop by here for sushi and the restaurant did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the selection is great. Funky, cozy place with really, really delicious sushi! I can't wait for my next trip to Prince Rupert to come here again.

I was very happy with this place. I phoned just before they close and they got my order ready. Everything was perfect just the right amount of food and right by the ocean it’s a really nice place. I wish I would’ve came earlier in the day and had to sit down I have to walk up the steps to find it so it’s a little hard at first but once you go in, it’s a perfect little sushi place. I can’t wait to come again.

Fish is great that close to the ocean. Ambiance and decor is warm and inviting, patio is great when its warm and not raining. Service is usually good. The ownership is the only thing that makes it not 5 star. Unfortunately the owners (Farrell's) behave so objectionably I don't care to support them any more no matter how good the food is.

Always have a good time coming to this place. If you like sushi you should go to this place. They also have their own variety of sushi. Which I really like. They also serve sake, chilled or warm.

As others have said, great sushi restaurant. You can tell the freshness of the sushi by the depth in colour and non-fishy smell. Definitely rivals some of the Japanese restaurants in Vancouver.

Ordered the Kaisen don (not sure why its not called the Chirashi don but no matter). Again, sushi was extremely fresh, and the portion was adequate. You're not going to get this quality of sushi for this price point if you're looking for quantity.

One minor issue I had was how hot the tea was. It was so hot that the cup was too hot to handle, almost burning my fingers (even holding at the rim). If I have to pay $3.50 for the tea, then at least serve it so I can drink it without burning my fingertips!

Food is below average but they work hard to get the best out of this .
Very basic sushi in small town.
No taste of any authenticity.
Yet , fresh and didn’t get sick .
Sashimi is good
Rolls are below average.
Ok for the on the go …

Huge variety of Sushi on the menu! The miso was a gem! They are a Nice cozy venue and the service was quick, efficient, friendly. And not overly busy on a weekday at night. The food came out very fresh and tasted fantastic! Highly recommend 🙂
