I have eaten here almost weekly for the past 3 years with my family in Banff, and have been coming here for more than a decade. Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it yet!

A lovely local family that serves the best Chinese food in the Bow Valley, and super friendly, personable service. Absolutely spotless restaurant, and food made with delicious fresh ingredients.

Dishes I eat every week and basically can’t live without now are salt and pepper squid,, eggplant and shrimp, cashew chicken, special fried noodles, hot and spicy soup.
Can’t recommend enough!

Wow, what gorgeous views of the mountains while you eat. The food was also delicious. I had tomato egg (a dish I used to enjoy on the regular in Taiwan). Their version has peas and onion. I really enjoyed the addition of onion to this dish.

Expect a higher cost per dish (25-29 per plate), but note, that they are very large in size. We were unable to finish most of what we ordered! I recommend getting several dishes and sharing them. In Asian culture, sharing food is customary.

We didn’t notice they had dumplings until after we had ordered, but they looked great! We’ll come back one day to try them.

Policy: No outside drinks, so if you are sipping the end of your coffee, be sure to leave that in your vehicle.

When to go: We went on a Sunday from around 5:30-7pm in March and the restaurant had only a few tables sat our entire time there! This restaurant is HUGE and there is plenty of space. I imagine during high tourist months it’s insane, but Sunday evening in March = plenty of space!

Fortune cookies (my friend asked me this one): No, we were not given any, so I assume they don’t have them. BUT I also never got them in Asia, so don’t let that deter you. The food here is delicious.

Convenience location in Banff, lots of free parking. The food was average, nothing too amazing, the portion was too small for what they charged for.

They also included the tips amount on the bill, I didn’t like that. Tips amount should not be mandatory.

We only visited this place just because of its location and free parking.

After coming here a couple of years ago and having a really good meal we decided to stop by again. We were not disappointed in what we had and it was as good as we remembered. The server was incredibly friendly and it wasn’t crowded as we ate mid-day. The quality has remained the same and I’m really happy we got to eat here again.
