We had Thompson company move my mother from sackville to Windsor. We actually had booked for April 25. We were able to move it to wenesday April 17 we no fuss at all. They guys showed up shortly before 8am had everything packed to go in hour. Arrived at new place and hour after that . Had everything unloaded and set up again In hour and were on there way back to shop. Very polite and pleasant staff . I highly recommend. Amy the co-ordinator was very fast and efficient getting it all organized for us .

Used this company to move from NS to NB.
The loading was great, guys were great. Only took 6.5 hours to pack my house and load.

Unloading was smooth as well.

However there was one thing (30 year old cast iron bistro set) broken.
Not sure how you break a cast iron set, none the less, it was blamed on corrosion. Let me tell you that it was not corroded. This set was well cared for. It was my mother's set that passed away 10 years ago and I have it powder coded and sealed.

They Still blamed it on corrosion. Offered me 75.00 .. I had to fight to get 125.00 from them which doesn't even cover the damage

Jill the claims lady must of taken it personally. Because it took 3 + weeks back and forth for her to actually send the cheque out. Rudest customer service I've ever experienced.

We spend 10k to move with them and it was a fight to get 125.00 for something they broke.

Be aware when dealing with Jill !!! Very rude and ignorant

Look no further, here is your reliable moving Company! Go ahead and hire them!

I have had extremely unpleasant experiences with moving companies, such as missing items, extra charges upon delivery not previously agreed or specified, etc. Unfortunately, there’s no regulation about moving companies and taking legal actions is almost not a option.

When I had to move across Canada again, I looked for the ones with better reviews. The ones with excellent reviews are way overpriced.

Luckily, I came across THOMPSONS Moving & Storage. Good enough reviews and quote fair enough for me. I decided to go ahead and hire them to move my furniture and belongings from Halifax NS to Vancouver BC. They scheduled a day and time for pick up. Professional manners and quick service on the day of pick up.

Once my furniture and belongs arrived in Vancouver BC, nothing was missing, but 2 furniture (dresser and tv stand) broken. See attached pictures. It was a bit stressful seen my furniture broken, but I proceeded with the claim. After a week my claim was approved and they paid me the full amount to buy new ones. 100% satisfied with their resolution. That’s why I am writing this review because this time my moving was so smooth, nothing comparable to the previous bad experience I had in the past.

Looking at my attached pictures you would think I had a bad experience, but it’s the opposite.

Overall, you are looking at a reliable company, with a fair cost, and great customer service.

I recommend this moving company services. I am all set now on my new place, thanks to them!

This company truly is a lifesaver.

I was scammed by another moving company for a cross country move and was left stranded during one of the busiest moving times of the year (before uni starts).
I reached out to Thompson’s and told them my situation. Within a week they had me squeezed in to their already packed schedule.

They were kind and very sympathetic of my situation. As well, educated me on what a reputable moving company actually looks like so I can avoid this situation in the future.
Their receptionist is incredibly sweet.

Their quote is fair and not overpriced. The movers arrived on time, took great care of my stuff, and everything arrived in perfect condition! One small piece from my bed frame was missing (these things happen) and within a day they had it shipped to me at no extra cost.

One of the best moving companies I have ever worked with.

Everything has been great with Terry Delahunt. Quick to reply and give a quote. Providing me some boxes as it is a long haul move. Quote was very transparent compared to online companies with no facilities here, which was concerning to me. He was recommended as honest by friends and no damages over many moves.

I had a fantastic experience with this company. They were very professional and courteous. They called to confirm, let me borrow as many boxes as I needed to for $100 deposit (returned boxes and got $100 back the next week), phoned to let me know they were running late due to traffic on bridge, but showed up on time nonetheless. They worked super hard and efficiently, packed up all my furniture and wrapped all large items to ensure no damage, and even put my beds back together for me at my request. It took way less time than I anticipated. They were super speedy but careful and safe. There were 3 guys, one was in the moving business for over 30 years (!), everyone was friendly and very professional. It took way less time than I anticipated and I would recommend this company without hesitation. 🙂
