Fare rates are not posted in the cabs or on a public web site. They operate on “zones” system (also not defined for the public) and drivers charge whatever they think is the rate. Sometimes a “senior” rate is offered and other times not. Most drivers seem to practice basic hygiene which is slightly less disgusting than Central and Matt’s taxi co. where some drivers reek of body odour. That many New Glasgow cab drivers fro. Every company smoke in their vehicles, compounds the unpleasantness for customers. And how about the culture of racism, sexism, ableism and general redneck stupidity that customers endure?

They were not open on one of new glasgow's busiest evenings. Hard to understand why we do not have Uber in our community.
Sometime ago, I called to arrange a ride to the airport the day before an early morning flight. I was told the driver will pick me up at the time I requested. I was also told if an airport taxi was not possible, I would be given ample notice. The next morning, I called 30 mins before the arranged pick-up time to confirm the taxi and was told "we can't do that we don't have enough cars". This left me in a perilous situation which was not necessary given that I was provided not much advance notice. Why didnt the dispatch just tell me the day before when I arranged the taxi that it was not possible?
Luckily Todd's taxi came and picked me up on short notice and I made my flight.

The disbatcher was super kind and got a taxi to me as fast as she could the driver was a lot rude and almost didn’t let my 6 year old son in the taxi then yelled at me while we were walking into our home all out alittle dirt on the floor from my kids shoes
