I just want to make you aware of a situation that occurred this morning August 14 at the intersection of commissioners and Wonderland Road in London. This was just a few minutes before 9 AM. I was crossing the road on commissioners heading east on the south side of the intersection I had my dog with me. As we were crossing the traffic on Wonderland going north and south had a red light. As I was approaching the right hand turning lane on Wonderland I looked to my right for any potential oncoming traffic that tends to not stop as you can turn on a red light. There was one vehicle and it didn’t stop and I looked again before proceeding and one of your drivers flew up the right hand turning lane, made direct eye contact with me as I was within about 4 feet of his car at this point and he continue to proceed turning right instead of waiting for me to safely cross the road (as I have the right away). Both my dog and I were very close to being hit. This would be a great opportunity to remind your drivers that they do need to STOP before continuing to turn right on a red light.

Hello I am the wife of Katherine. I would like to make this very clear. This was hmm, our wedding day. As simple as it was, she ordered a checker for us prepaid. Apparently, there was some kerfuffle over that. She didn't have her wallet and She was quite upset. She was even crying. I want you people to know what kind of an impact your service can have for client . Cry because things were messed up and the driver showed up in a not so nice car. Whatsoever, dirty on the outside, not roomy, not even close to what we had expected. I think that you should not charge her. In fact, I think you should do something a little bit more for her. My wife was completely distraught. Premium Price should provide Premium service. From start to finish.
And then trying to find somebody to deal with the situation she passed on and passed on and passed on and now she is waiting. I don't know if it's paid now.

I have been using Checker for many years now, to get me to and from work. Have had many great drivers that became regulars for me, but they have changed shifts, left the country, province, etc., and since this change I have had multiple experiences where I was talked down to by drivers who act like they know better, and my thoughts don’t matter, leading to them calling HQ so I can be further talked down on. I have since started being charged additional fees that no one can explain to me, and will not refund, either. They’ve now lost a customer that has used them for nearly 5 years, because they don’t seem to even care about us, and the drivers only concern is your money going into their account. I’ve had one driver unlock the door and say “I can go” after questioning the additional $10 fee as seen below.

I'll straight up hitchhiker before using them again. Uber is your best bet.

If I could give less than one star I would. For many years while travelling for business I used to call and order a car for early the next morning to head to the airport. I didn't travel over Covid or up until recently this week. As usual, I called Monday evening asking for a car for pickup Tuesday morning at 7:45 a.m. I received a text confirmation so felt I had nothing to worry about. Fast forward to Tuesday at 745 a.m. and I'm waiting for the car (they were usually early and texted when almost to the pickup). I called Checker after a few more minutes and was told that there were no drivers in the area dropping off and I'd have to wait for that or someone to start working! What's the point in ordering a ride?!?! The person on the phone made me feel like it was my issue and talked down to me. When asked if I wanted to wait, I reminded her that I had a plane to catch and I'd call a cab instead.

They clearly do not care about their customers. I'm actually shocked based on other reviews here that they're even in business. Perhaps that's why no one could pick me up - few people work there. Avoid this service at all costs. Call an uber or better yet support another local business Yellow Cab who seem to be very customer oriented!

I am giving a three star even though the drivers were prompt but I ordered a cab from my address to the University Hospital. Cost me $22 going. I called a cab from the hospital to go back to my home and it cost me $23.50 yet it was the same distance. How can there be different pricing?

Amazing service! 👏🏻 Victoria hospital gave me a couple taxi vouchers for an appt and then I got another recently from a car dealership so I didn't have to wait at the shop. All three trips I had excellent drivers, very friendly, clean cars, timely, quick to arrive both call on the spot and calling ahead of time pre scheduled, drivers were all kind to my son who I had with me, I was very impressed by the excellent service. If I need a cab again it will definitely be Checker.

Used to be great with clean vehicles. Quite poor now with vehicles quite shabby and dirty. Smelled like cigar smoke. Driver had no idea where to take us. I should have taken an Uber … it would have been cleaner and less expensive
