Belle traverse, resto à bord, télé, superbe vue sur le fleuve. Parfois, le traversier est en retard. Arrivez d'avance avant le départ. Il y a une petite plage sur cette rive, un resto, une crème glacée et le château du Père Noël quelques km avant.

Completely disorganized and unreliable from a driver's perspective. Arrived two hours early and was funneled into a line of parked cars. The place is understaffed (the staff were very friendly but had that hopeless look of trying to make a senseless system work) and when we asked one for information, they had no clue whether we would even be able to get on considering the number of cars in the queue. They apparently have no system for figuring out how many cars will fit, so they just shrug their shoulders and you have to decide whether it's worth it to have your car stuck in line for hours before potentially missing the boat anyways.
So after the ferry arrived an hour late and we had waited for 3 hours, we were told that it was full and we would have to catch tomorrow morning's ferry (after already having been checked in by the attendant). The motels surrounding the port are clearly ready for this and it's tough to shake the feeling that it's convenient for the local economy for the ferry to be this inefficient.
On top of this, their system for getting passengers out of and back into their cars was unsafe and they had pedestrians strewn amongst the moving cars and having to squish against the walls with unsafe amounts of space, causing several people to complain.
Overall a really negative experience (I am francophone and it was still this frustrating) and I recommend that you avoid this ferry if you are driving a car.

Fantastic service..the ferry was right on time.. when you arrive at the location, there is a person to hand you the boarding pass and then you just wait in line till the boarding service resumes..once on board, you pay for the tickets and there is a small cafeteria also to get coffee and snacks during the short trip...the waiting area was clean and quiet and on a good day, you get amazing views from the deck..this route is a good option to go to Tadoussac for whale viewing as an alternate to the Trois des Pistoles-les escoumins ferry which sometimes gets booked online..from St.Simeon its a shirt drive directly to the boarding point of the Baie St. Catherine -Tadoussac ferry which is free by the way... highly recommend this service..
