I had rented a storage unit from U-Haul Main Street Moncton since December and always rented moving trucks from them for as long as I can remember. When I booked a moving truck for the 1st of August 2025, I specifically told them I needed it to be from West Main Street because my storage was at that spot. When I got there on the first of August they told me that I had to go all the way to Trinity U-Haul which is on the other side of town. I told him I specifically told the guy I booked the truck with for Main Street but he insisted That there was no truck booked. So I drove all the way to Trinity U-Haul and drove all the way back to Main Street U-Haul. Now when me and my brother started to get the stuff out of the storage unit that I paid $165 a month since December had mouse shit all over my stuff. I had to clean all my furniture, bed and clothing. Plus had to throw out stuff because it was to bad to keep. I told the worker at the front desk and all he said was really? Then he continued to help other customers like he didn't care at as all. I am trying to reach the Regional Manager to explain my situation but haven't been able to get through. There signs says our storage units are dry, safe and well kept because they value the customer. I call bullshit on what they say. P.s. I am very pissed off.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with U-Haul in Halifax and Moncton.

We reserved a 15-foot truck over a month in advance, only to find out on the day of the move that the truck was not available at the scheduled time or location. No warning, no heads-up—just gone.

The customer service was appalling, offering us two unworkable options:

1. Take a smaller 10-foot truck (which didn’t suit our move), or

2. Drive 3 hours to Moncton, NB to pick up a truck ourselves—which defeated the entire purpose of planning ahead.

With no contingency plans in place for predictable issues, we were forced to choose the Moncton option. That, too, turned into a disaster. The truck had an engine light issue, and it took three hours to get a response because it was never properly logged or flagged in the system.

We had originally booked our pick-up for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. We didn’t get on the road with the truck until almost 12 hours later.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, look elsewhere. This was hands-down the worst logistics and management experience I’ve ever encountered.

Had I been managing a blue-chip company publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), I would be utterly ashamed of myself. This is truly embarrassing

We were assisted in our rental needs by Martin. He is a top-notch customer service representative! Martin is respectful, cheerful and truly helpful. His kind assistance made this moving quite easy. Please relay our thanks and gratitude to Martin, an exemplary U-Haul manager. 🙂

I got my trailer hitch installed here and is very happy about their service. Staff are friendly, they also changed the ball mount from drop to raise for me free of charge.
I cannot give a 5 star because they cannot make it within scheduled time. Even I booked a time slot online, everyone is pretty busy on Saturday. So it is better to call them to confirm before arriving.
