We read the previous reviews too late and how we wish we had read them prior to giving our business unto Jim Bob's.
We saw how our neighbor was treated and spoken to, and it was disheartening.
We are not sure how long the business can last if customers are treated this way.
We wouldn't recommend it to any of our friends.

I am usually a person who loves to support local but I regretfully am going to share this with you.

We hired JimBobs Landscaping out of Carstairs to put in a dog run in the backyard for us. We paid for 1/2 of the quote middle of April, now I get we have had an unusually wet spring but I had to follow up twice with them on a general timeliness for completion of work. My last inquiry I asked for 24 hour notice for them coming to start work as I had plans to be away.

I came home last week from the city to find work had already started, a skid steer destroying our front lawn. In all they damaged our fence, chipped our poured patio and completely destroyed more then 1/2 of our front lawn.

When we asked about their plan to fix our front lawn we were told it could be done for an extra fee. We talked back and forth not feeling like we should have to pay extra to fix what they destroyed. The owner said he would drop off some special mix loam that had seed, dirt, and compost that would be super grow. What we got was black dirt scrapping that had piles of rocks the size of my hand and a small lunch bag of seed for our whole front.

The communication has been nothing but gaslighting and rude when talking about fixing mistakes done.

If this is a one off for this company I am shocked. Lesson learned, we will do better in asking for references next time. I know there are many great small businesses in town, we have loved everyone that we have worked with up until this point.

All I can say is if you are looking to get any work done, I would not recommend this company!

They have the best grass seed!! All the big box stores sell trash grass that never pops up. I tested theirs against Jim Bobs, and it came in after a week, I think.. and walmarts best brand took 2+ weeks and super patchy. Also bought several vegetable plants and all are still doing great. I've only ever had a pleasant experience. I never check the prices against other places since I would rather spend a little extra locally than travel farther for a couple of bucks.

Love love love this place Had everything I was needing at a very reasonable price. Offered to deliver if I needed.
What I like mostly was the educated people that actually have degrees and can talk the talk. They just aren't someone who's decided I'm going to do landscaping this summer and start up a business.
If your have a project and need ideas or help they are definitely the place to inquire
They have a beautiful selection of mature trees and huge full planters and they are so close they will plant them for you. Makes life super easy as they are located right beside the Sparkle Car wash.
Can't wait to shop again this year

dont even want to leave a star but I have to for a review 🤦🏼‍♀️ . Very unprofessional , overcharging for product, used product at that. and underpaying staff. Doesn’t support proper footwear for the industry type and will degrade staff in front of customers .

Owner is incredibly rude, nearly hit us by his poor driving skills near the nursery. Then threatened us by saying it’s his road. Careful when driving by, he may threaten you too.

Top soil was not screened and full of rocks and really hard clumps. Really disappointed in the soil quality.
