I went here for a cooking class, which was super fun.

I wouldn’t have known that this place even existed if it weren’t for the class.

Great little cafe, cool selection of health food options.

It could use a touch more seating and the parking situation sucks.

I visited this local hub to see what they have, but that I would be interested in it in as I love, fresh produce, and fruits, along with supporting local businesses.
The store seems cute, staff very friendly and welcoming. They have a nice selection of local wines, beer, drinks, meats, breads, coffee, and much more. It was great seeing a beverage dispenser with water for their customers along with glasses for use. Couple of little tables for seating if you wanted a quick bite to Or drinks. A few stools by the window for a nice sit down while looking outside.
I went to buy the celery and a couple of them were icy. When I brought my home and cut them, it was flowing inside,(please see photos ) I was a bit disappointed. Thought it would be fresh, and tasty. I do not think I will be returning there for any purchases. The veggies or fruits I think is not as fresh as I had thought. my experience have not been that great. I also lost the money as I had to toss them out.
Other than that it seems like a nice little place

It's a great local business. The interiors are quaint and cosy, and feels like a village general store. The produce is fresh with lots of local and sustainable options. The staff at the little cafe are very friendly and the baked goodies are a must try. Tons of other knick knacks, beer, alcohol and gift items.
I love their bulk soap and detergent options too.

Just moved into the area. My dog pulled me into the door. A white women started screaming at me and my dog as we just stood there on the door mat. Very unfriendly. Perhaps racist. Accusing my dog to be dangerous even though my dog was just sitting and relaxed. Would never come here again.

I mobile ordered some cold drinks this afternoon (July 6th around 1:30) and wasn’t able to pick them up until awhile after they were ready (about 20 mins or more, and I wasn’t able to let the store know.) The barista working today put them in the fridge for me. That may sound simple but it was a very kind and thoughtful gesture that I really needed today. The smoothie also survived the walk home in 33° weather and tastes amazing as always. Thank you 💛

Strathcona Market is such a wonderful spot to find delicious healthy food and have good friendly conversation. The team is welcoming and helpful and the options for baked goods and cafe drinks available are plentiful. The grocery aspect supports many local farmers and businesses and offers you a full grocery experience for any diet. There’s an also a seating area and wifi to use if you want to sit and work with your matcha or lunch.

GRANDMA BARB’S ENERGY BALLS ROCK!! Omg you guys hit a grand slam here! 🎉 I usually come in for an escarpment bar and there were none on the shelf so I decided to give grandma barb’s a try - and can I just say WOW 🤩! I also think the staff are super friendly and helpful, they have some really nice products on the shelf including some great ideas for gifts, like flowers or wine. I like the fact that I’m also supporting a local and Canadian business.

UPDATED: great change since the reopening, good selection and quality of produce as well as locally sourced and organic. They also have a nice selection of dairy, meat and fresh breads. I have subscribed to there market box and have never been disappointed. Justin and the staff are also helpful and friendly. Also if you are looking for a ready made a bite to eat the menu has a nice selection of soups, salads and sandwiches including vegan options.

There is no parking lot but always a spot available on Dundurn just s few steps away.
