Rented a 10 X 20 Unit for around 3 months.

Customer Rep Priscilla was great and always helpful when needed. Unit was new and clean. 24 hour access was handy but seems to be the standard for all storage providers.

Given 3 stars due to the 28 day billing cycle(works out to 13 payments per year). Would have kept the unit longer if Monthly billing was in place. Trying to squeeze that extra payment yearly has lost a customer/unit rental.

When asked I was told that the 28 day billing was an “industry thing.” Maybe you should think about carving your own path and creating a competitive advantage over others if this is the case.

Why I Made the Switch:
After nine years at ANOTHER storage facility, things changed when they were bought out by a big North American company. One Saturday morning, I showed up and found myself locked out because they had updated their security system without communicating to their clients. Ninety minutes after calling their corporate office in the United States I received a phone call. Unacceptable! I run an emergency-based business and cannot have this happen.

I don’t want to dwell on that experience too much and so here is why I'm at Waterdown Mini-Storage.

Personal Service That Stands Out:
The customer service has been outstanding. Priscilla has been fantastic. I appreciate that she takes an interest in small business as well. After my last experience, I made a choice to move my business to a local company that knows me by name and not just a number.

Clear and Consistent Communication:
Communication is also excellent. Whether it’s by phone, email, or text, I always feel in the loop and know exactly what’s going on. Well done!

Convenient, Clean, and Accessible:
The units themselves are clean, spacious, and easy to get to. Unfortunately due to a lack of signage on Dundas Street (something they have tried to address) many people do not even know the facility exists just beyond the Waterdown RONA.

They Care—Even When Things Go Sideways:
There was one day when access was a challenge because of a heavy snowfall and a snow removal issue. What stood out to me was how aware Priscilla was of the situation and how thoughtful she was in following up. Well done again!

The Bottom Line:
I am a fan of Horst Schulze (think Ritz Carlton) who once said, “Unless you have 100% customer satisfaction… you must improve.”
