I drive through Carstairs and stop in at Hoa Mai Restaurant every time, it's bright and clean. The owners are welcoming hosts, who actually taught me all I need to know about soccer. The food portions are generous and consistently delicious. The prices are exceptional 👌 and I recommend Hoa Mai Restaurant to everyone who enjoys Vietnamese and Chinese dining.

By far the best vermicelli dish I have ever had in my life. Since trying their #17, Grilled Beef & Spring Rolls on Vermicelli, I’ve become insanely obsessed with it. Thank you for providing such amazing food!

I was driving from Edmonton to Calgary, craving something hearty, so I started googling and decided on this place. Handmade spring rolls in a small town? What?!? I can't give this place enough stars. I really hope this place is busy, because it deserves to be. Hoa Mai, you were worth the detour off the highway. Thank you for for knocking the vermicelli out of the park. I will be back.

Really enjoy the fast service, and the fresh food. So far how experiences here have been wonderful. On Fridays they normally do a buffet!

Highly recommend for a Chinese food evening. Prices and portions are reasonable.

Terrible experience with takeout here. If you want the only flavor to be grease and salt, this is the place for you. Seriously, the salt is unreal. Portions of meat are mostly gristle and very small at that. Prepare to verbally battle everyone that works here to get a refund also.
Genuinely inedible, never again. Worst chinese food I've ever tried. Over $55 of food, no soy sauce packets. Just drive to Didsbury and go to Green Bamboo.

Salty!!! Very little meat in the beef and broccoli which had cauliflower in it. Shrimp in black bean sauce salty but had fresh vegetables. ( mostly veggies)Lemon soo gai, lemon sauce cold fresh out of refrigerator.. guess we were supposed to heat it up ourselves.. special chow mein limited meat and salty shrimp and what little bar b q pork was in it well I make better barbecue pork! Shrimp salad rolls was our mistake as we were told to order by number and forgot to mention shrimp.. wasn’t asked either ? Ordered for pick up and debit machine automatically goes to tip which can only be canceled by them.. I do not tip for pick up … never again sticking with Green Bamboo in Didsbury… so sad was looking forward to a Chinese restaurant in Carstairs but once again it failed.
