Certainement le pire des hôtels où j'ai séjourné pendant mon séjour en Ontario.||||La première impression, c'est cette forte odeur de tabac froid dans le couloir qui persiste dans la chambre (j'avais réservé une chambre non-fumeur). Et c'est pourtant un fumeur qui vous le dit !||||La note d'humour de la Direction de l'hôtel : une petite affichette posée sur la TV qui vous avertit que vous êtes passible d'une amende de 100$ si vous fumez dans la chambre... Ce n'est pas la peine de fumer dans la chambre, vous êtes déjà intoxiqué à l'entrée du couloir.||||La deuxième impression, c'est que tout est délabré dans cette partie du motel (2 bâtiments) : salle de bains exigüe, porte de la SDB qui ne ferme pas (sympa pour les WC), porte du balcon qu'il faut arracher du mur pour réussir à l'ouvrir, vieille moquette salle, etc. Bref, beurk pour l'ensemble de la chambre (et du bâtiment).||||Le top du top, c'est le petit déjeuner que vous prenez à l'accueil (qui est petit) debout, car il n'y a aucune salle prévue à cet effet. Heureusement, il y a une petite table de jardin (2 personnes max) complètement inadaptée (table type fer forgé ajouré, non plane) pour une cinquantaine de chambres ! pas mal, non. Sinon, petit déjeuner très moyen et incomplet.||||Cet hôtel est donné sur les sites de réservation pour un 3 étoiles (et oui quand même) et affiche un prix équivalent à sa catégorie au Canada (105$ sans les taxes pour une chambre simple Queen bed). J'ai eu bien mieux à beaucoup moins cher.||||Si vous pouvez faire autrement, évitez cette étape de Bancroft qui vous laissera un mauvais souvenir (peu de choix à prix raisonnable sur les sites de réservation en ligne pour la ville de Bancroft qui n'offre pas ailleurs aucun intérêt touristique autre que la proximité du parc Algonquin)

Stayed there for one night. Will never stay there again and definitely would not recommend it. The musty smell is apparent as soon as you open the main door to the building. The very steep stairs to the second floor do not appear to have been cleaned in quite a while. At the top of the stairs, you open the fire door to enter the hallway. The entire hallway is poorly lit which helps minimize seeing the filthy carpeting that is littered with dead and dying flies. Our room was compact but adequately furnished. The window was wide open - hmmm, why? When I went to close the window there were several dead and one very alive (and very large) fly in the window track. Later that evening there was another dying fly on the floor. I’ve never been in a hotel/motel room that provides half size pillows on the bed which was not at all comfortable. We spent an uncomfortable night and checked out asap in the morning.

Pleasant front desk attendant and staff, clean rooms, beds were fine, hot shower. They were ok with us checking out late at very short notice. It's a simple roadside hotel, not sure what some folks are expecting to be honest. It was perfect for our needs

The front desk / owner was very friendly and easy to access. Parking was plentiful. Price was okay. It’s like a motel and has that 1970’s motel vibe, very basic motel. You can tell there are some new updates, the sink & counter in bathroom are very nice, the floors are new laminate. Other things are very old like all the lighting, the curtains, the bedspreads.The main complaint is the room feels damp and moist. I wonder the underlying cause? It was fine for 1 night as there’s not a lot of accommodations in the area. Overall, I slept well and would give an average rating of 3.

Pros: little mini fridge, price, very quiet, comfortable bed, cable TV, free parking, convenient location, no evidence of any bed bugs or other critters

Cons: The whole room feels damp / musty. TV volume you can barely hear it. Towels are super small, only 2 provided, should have 4 in room. 3 pillows per bed but they are the cheapest, softest pillows. The bathroom is micro tiny. It’s hard to get in it and even close the door- when opening the door the door barely clears the toilet! Bathtub was stained (dirty?) and when standing in shower it feels a little spongy.

Clean place, updated rooms with modern AC and television. Not a swanky place but spotlessly clean and comfortable enough for our stay.
Front desk staff were polite and quick. If you are staying on the ground floor you can park right at your room.
If I am in the area again I would stay here.

The rooms were generally speaking in very poor condition, With the furniture, being old and worn, holes in the wall and chunks of painting missing. The floors were very dirty with a poor level of housekeeping. The main heating radiator was completely rusted. We would have left, but there were no other options available. It sure does not deserve to be called Inns and Suites hotel
