I made an appointment to do a short distance tow. I live 2 hours away, but needed to be on location for the pickup because there is hunting on the premises, and it's not my property. Half an hour after our agreed upon time, I called him and he said he went on another call. Set up another time 3 hours later. An hour after that time went by, I called him again, and same thing, he went on another call.

He said he can't wait around for appointments when he has calls...

So don't make appointments, or at least call the customer to let them know of the change.

I cancelled even though he said the truck can be on his way to me now, he doesn't need my money, and I'm not going to sit here waiting on a ghost truck till my mechanic closes.

Poor communication, timing, customer service. Maybe if I crashed my truck it would be worth their time.

Huge thank you to Steve and Grant who saved the day, I was stranded on the side of the road and Grant the tow driver came to my rescue, he is one of the best professional maneuver tow truck drivers I had ever encountered. If your interested in getting bamboozled I recommend dealing with the service department at Lewis moters in Barrie
Had an extremely terrible experience with this company.shotty work from the technicians and shady practices from the management.
I was billed over $9000 for them to repair the ABS light on and the malfunction indicator lamp on and engine derate.
I was informed that these problems had been repaired so the bill was paid.
When i started the truck I seen that light was still on and the same problems that they said they repaired and that I was billed for were still their.
I brought my concerns to the manager and was givin the old too bad so sad speech.
They weren’t willing to repair the invoice and stated that they can repair the problem with additional labour and parts costs.
So basically they logged many hours and didn’t get anywhere and found an excuse to park the vehicle in the yard.
Then lie about the problems being repaired so the bill would be paid.
And while driving the vehicle back the abs light came on and the engine deratated.
Unfortunately I had to leave one star on the revue I really didn’t want to leave any stars.

Where do we begin. After several shady moves by Lewis Motors, we began to record our interactions with staff as we were being lied to and mislead regularly. After voicing several concerns, in steps manager Andrew. He opened our eyes to why the staff can't provide honest service.

We reached out to Andrew because we could not get straight answers when dealing with the service department. Andrew mentioned that he would help get us taken care of. While on a recorded phone conversation with this individual, he began to lie, and lie, and lie again. Thank fully with our text messages and recorded conversations, we were able to call this individual out on his lies. He then began to threaten us, telling us to get our equipment off his property and not return.

Great! Thats a really good idea. We had been trying for over a week to move our equipment from their shop down to currie motors. At currie motors you will get treated with respect, you will be provided open and honest answers to your concerns.

After attempting to move our forklift off site until we could get our truck repaired (the forklift was not being worked on, only out truck) Andrew from Lewis motors took it upon himself to lock our equipment in a compound so we could not work our forklift. He claimed company policy had changed and this is how they conduct business. The previous times we had work done, our truck was never locked up in a compound. Just because you tell some lies, does not mean you can take it out on someone else business.

Rather than handle the situation appropriately, Andrew got mad at us for not wanting to be lied to like he was. Even when confronted with hard evidence via text messages and our recorded phone conversation, this individual refused to accept his lies and mistakes.

If you want to have your time wasted, and have management lie and mislead you, Andrew at Lewis Motors is the guy for you!

We lost several days of working hours due to the lies from Lewis Motor. They cost us employee standby time, plus mobilizing equipment costs when they told us they had parts in stock, just to get informed days later that they were wrong and we needed to book more down days and mov the equipment.

Lewis Motors claims to be a small family run business and they claim to take care of those as they wish to be taken care of. I guess operating a business in a shady manner, being dishonest and getting upset with customers after telling lies is how Lewis Motors operates.
