Giant station with everything you need in one station including 3 tim h. boots, flower and gift shop, convenience store and more. It is always clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are a few small needed improvements like safely handling the usual morning homeless with bad smell out of other passengers’ way or fixing their northern transfer machine doesn’t work, but other than those it is a great terminal.

But please fix the transfer machine. Personally, I have to go all the way to the middle of the station to get a slip. 🙏🙏🙏

“I’ve had a generally positive experience with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). The system is efficient, reliable, and convenient, making it easy to navigate the city. The buses, streetcars, and subways are well-maintained, and I appreciate the frequent service, especially during peak hours.
The staff are friendly and helpful,
However, there have been some challenges

The old classic Finch station. Always busy, feels like it got a little upgrade over 20 years. The station is very functional, has mini Tim Hortons inside, a Convenience store and the Flower store that is a great addition to the station. All the stores have been there for over 15 years at least and its always nice to see it everytime I come back to this station.
Busses are getting fancy and very functional for the customer.

Construction updated several crumbling bus ports (I think that's the technical term for them), and they look and feel really great. Unfortunately, this morning around 7:56am, some driver parked a 125 bus illegally sticking its back out at the end of the terminal, which blocked the 939B express and at least one other bus for no less than 5 minutes before its driver came out and took the 125 out on its usual route.😠 Definitely more training required for said driver.

Subway looks the same now as when it was first built. But still in decent shape and has a dedicated drop off/pick up for cars and free parking on weekends. So overall a bussin station

Finch station is the last stop on the Yonge line and is also hub for other GTA transit, including the GO bus. This stop has been around forever. ( The Finch Ave West is not the same and is newer and on the west side of Finch). You can catch buses going across Finch E, Finch West and surrounding areas. Need to get downtown fast? Then park and ride. There are ample paid parking spots and it’s even more affordable after 6 and free parking on weekends. If you’re picking up someone, then access the Kiss n Ride on the Northwest side. Inside the subway you have access to Timmie’s, convenience spot etc. Washrooms are also available. I hate the fact that there are more unhoused people lurking around there these days. Wish the government would create more housing for them. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. You always can grab a hotdog if that’s your thing, as the vendor is always there.

I go through Finch station at least twice a week. For all of April and May, the only elevator from the bus level to the concourse level was out of service. Realistically, even if you are waiting for parts, it doesn't take 2 months to fix an elevator! As of today, the same elevator is again out of service, with the repairs projected to be done by some time next week.

As a wheelchair user, when I take the bus into Finch the only way for me to get to the street is to use the one section of curb with a ramp, through the bus stops to get to the street. The only way to get to the subway is to take the ramp, go through the bus bays to the street, then go to the GO station to find an elevator down into the station, where I have to take yet another elevator down to the subway platform.

The only signs that the elevator is out are the actual elevator in question, so I can take the GO elevator into the station, a second elevator from the fair gates up to the concourse, and only arriving at the third elevator is there a sign. How difficult would it be for the TTC to put a sign on all of the entrances explaining which elevator is out and how to then access buses or subway?

The elevator from the Kiss and Ride usually works, as does the GO elevator, but I have found that at times the doors from that elevator into Finch have the handicap button turned off, and last week the doors from that area into the station were locked! The photo below is of those locked doors.

Make sure you check all service advisories BEFORE heading to Finch.

Took line 1 from Finch to Bloor. The service was rely good and the train came on time and did not have any delay on the way and coming back. TTC was also not very busy around 9:00am. Really happy that I didn't have to deal with the parking and the traffic going downtown.
