Working here was great at first but then things went downhill after about a year. Management only cared about pushing for more, more, more from its sales staff. And the pay was terrible. While they did offer a ~40K base salary, the commission split structure made it impossible to reach much above that without absolutely killing yourself. Also, they require a 1 year non-compete. Finally, there were several incidents where other employees should have been fired for their behavior and actions towards me, but they lack any real HR department, and because these other employees were making the company good money, management looked the other way. Very toxic work environment.

Took my year off and found a better pay structure and management style somewhere else.

Did a load on 11-01-21 and set at the shipper for 5.5 hrs. Mattress Company, they built the product and loaded it as they built it. I have fought for the 1.5 hours of detention for almost three months. Had to threaten to file on their broker bond and/or contact the customer. I was told they were going to remove me from their system and pay the 1.5 hours of detention. It took me until 01-28-22 to get the detention and they removed our company from their system. I told them that was fine because we never planned to haul for them again.

We called them to get information on a load and the gentleman was very unprofessional. As a carrier we do our best to be polite with all brokers and shippers we work with. This guy hung-up on us once we told him our drive did not have a TWIC card. We understand its a fast past industry and we all have other calls to make if someone does not have the equipment or certs needed to help us. However, this doesn't make it ok to be rude and unprofessional.

ATTENTION CARRIERS!

Be sure you don't book and deal with Ben Webster who represent himself as an owner and corporate of this company or/and Dakota Okeson, those guys are thinking only of their load being picked up and delivered with picture of POD of course when delivered, not responding to any email or a phone call when you need freight unloaded, been sitting 3 hours with no answer, when you mention crossdocking they will call you right away asking what's the problem even you explained it 3 times in email, so clearly they are not paying attention at it. Don't loose your time with them, I solved the issue at the receiver myself.

This broker does not pay detention! We waited like over 2 weeks for one hour of detention and at the end I was told that they are denying it. The broker was informed at the time when detention was supposed to start and the bills had the proper timing on them. Carriers be aware !
