One of the worst experiences moving ever. Don't trust these folks, they changed the rates three times, I asked for a pre quote, they said no problem no problem, never sent it. In the end they held the process hostage, had my wife sign a document without us both present.

From threatening to not pay his people for the work performed, to sending new moving crews who had no concept of removing T.V's from walls and unhooking couches, padding moving hours, unscheduled breaks, the list goes on and on. Never mind the brakages, the damaged walls, none of the assembly was conducted as promised.

I find that If I and my family where not involved in picking up and moving our own furniture the job would never be completed. Six guys and 10 hours later and im still moving my own things three days later.

The entire process, the negotiation tactics of their manager and the threats of not paying his people put us in an untenable position.

If you value your sanity and your pocket book, Stay away from this organization.

My own experience using ABS Movers was very positive. Reading the negative reviews here, either they live on another planet or I was just plain lucky with choosing ABS and getting the fellows who did my move. Right from the start, it was a consistently excellent arrangement, starting with my first conversation with Paul, the key contact person. I did the rounds googling and then phoning about a dozen prospective movers. Paul was the only one who asked me to phone him back before making my decision, which I then did. He asked me what hourly rate I was given – I was considering the lowest cost for combination of movers and storage – and Paul offered a combination of hourly rate and storage cost that was not the lowest, but close enough, and I appreciated his business style and his thoroughness. He called me back three days before the scheduled moving date to review and confirm the details, which was much appreciated. His movers arrived 15 minutes early, which was a welcome surprise. And, importantly, the guys were great. Good humoured, careful and diligent, and very hard working. There was a large Ikea clothes closet with a loose back panel that they were concerned could break apart when moved. They went to extraordinary efforts to wrap it tightly in moving blankets and wrapped a lot of tape around it to assure it got safely into their truck and then out into the storage locker. They took that kind of care with everything. After Paul had initially asked me questions about the belongings and then given the estimated hours to move, and then the total cost including the monthly rate for the storage locker, the number of hours was exactly his estimate and therefore the invoice was precisely the amount he had told me was likely in our phone conversation. So either the stars were aligned on the day of our move, reading some of the extremely negative reviews here, or my experience was more typical, like most of these reviews, which would add up to a confident recommendation for ABS Movers.

Excellent moving service provided by this company. I was stuck with a small last-minute move that I needed done the next day on the LAST DAY OF THE MONTH and they came through for me big time. Thanks to movers Roberto and Brian who were exceptionally friendly and efficient. These are real pros not some fly-by-night con job schemers. I was very pleased and would recommend this company highly to anyone.

I contacted this company on short notice (12 hours prior) and spoke to Paul. Everything went as he said it would. Basil and his colleague were 15 minutes ahead of schedule. They took the time to go over what I needed done before starting the job. It was completed without any issues, on time and no damages. Both guys were efficient and pleasant. Should I need movers in the future, I will definitely use this company again. Thanks for doing such a good job! 🙂

We highly recommend ABS movers. They did an incredible job moving our furniture out of a very tight inner city home. They put a lot of care in their work and Moe and Reuben were an incredible team to work with. They were very careful moving our antique furniture; all pieces carefully wrapped and unwrapped. Paul, the owner gave us a very fair competitive quote and the value was amazing, compared to other quotes we received. We will always use Paul and his team at ABS. It's obvious that the ABS team love what they do, in how they interact with their clients. No additional charges were added on....it was a pleasure to tip our movers for the care you put into the move. Highly recommended!!!!

I had an excellent experience with ABS, especially with Alex and Mo as my movers. They worked non-stop, no complaints, and very efficient. They took the most care in transporting/wrapping my furniture - and I have moved a lot! I never even knew the back of my couch came apart - and neither did any other moving companies I've used. No rips! Wow! I was impressed. Definitely recommend them to anyone having to move.

I was looking for a moving company online to hire for a move that I was helping a buddy of mine with. I have to admit that I was taking a calculated risk at first because I had a prior bad experience with another moving company I hired for a previous move. I didn't know what to expect initially, but the two movers who arrived at the house, Alex and Mo were very courteous, polite, professional and very well organized. I was quite impressed with their timely service and organized approach! They took no longer than three hours and at the same time, nothing was damaged. The van was also clean and well maintained! I know who to call next time I help someone move or I myself am moving! Paul was a man of his word and that alone is enough to recommend this moving company to other people.
