I stored my personal items after leaving a domestic relationship with 3 of my young children in April 2022. 2 days later the negligence of my ex spouse has caused a tragic house fire losing everything we owned in renfrew. The last bit of personal and sentimental items we had left were stored at access 17 storage. I finally went in November 5th 2022 to gather some belongings and the smell of MOLD almost knocked me out. I started to remove some items out to find the source. My $7000 leather couches, $3000 worth of mattress, box springs, carpets, as well as $3000 worth of misscilanious were all covered in mold. And I mean COVERED. I emailed the property with photos and videos and simply requested to be reimbursed for the 6 months of storage fees. They had no sympathy and quote on quote " these units are not humidity c9ntrolled. In rainy conditions, the units will hold moisture. It's the same as storing your items packed tight in a garage. We do not have insurance to cover your items. "
When I asked for my money back they offered me my $50 deposit back if I removed the items covered in mold out of their facility.
GET INSURANCE, or rent an indoor storage unit such as diamond or anything like that. Learn from my experience

Great location, impeccable service!
My husband Mark & I rented 3 units in this facility for 3 months, in preparation for our big move from the Toronto area to the Ottawa region. Online sign up was a breeze, the units were spacious, clean, easy to access. Owners were also very prompt in answering any questions. Highly recommend!

We would use this storage facility again and we certainly recommend it! We filled it with furniture, boxes (blankets, photos, decorations) and other miscellaneous items (ladder, wicker patio furniture, book shelves). As the unit has a concrete floor we placed some wooden pallets down first, then moved everything in. We also used dryer sheets to discourage mice. We know the dryer sheets work in the camper and our shed so used them here too. We had our unit for one full year, never a drop of water, no mice and no mistiness. We are very pleased with Access 17! In every way. They delivered as advertised!

Great facility, very clean units and great ease of use! Very good customer service-definitely the place to go! No longer needed a unit but would absolutely go back in a heartbeat.

DO NOT RENT !! unreal owners. had two units one was filled with rats and the other with black mold couch and bed we took the bed but left the couch because was not are fault that it got mold had pallets to keep stuff off the ground and water does get in these units

This company is excellent to deal with. Their response is quick and set up was easy. They are perfectly located right at highway 17 and Bruce St. entrance to Renfrew. It’s a brand new high quality construction where I can be assured the protection of my property. Highly recommended.
