AMJ Movers moved my daughter and husband from Vancouver Island to Vancouver. Not a huge move but still to them it was. Movers were professional and respectful. Floor runners used at both origin and destination. It was raining at delivery but you’d never know. Team was a well oiled machine. Thank you for a great experience.

I have no idea how AMJ is still in business. Their service is beyond unacceptable—borderline dysfunctional.

My first experience was a couch delivery from Article. They called me 10 minutes before the scheduled time to say the truck had "broken down" and I had to reschedule. When the new team came days later, they casually mentioned AMJ has plenty of trucks—so clearly someone was lying or covering up poor planning.

Today was somehow worse. I had a delivery scheduled through Urban Barn, and there was zero human communication. Everything was automated. No option to choose a proper delivery time, just a vague 9 AM–5 PM window. When I finally spoke to the operator, who by the way didn't even disclose his name, they told me I should have picked a preferred time—how, exactly?

I chose the earliest slot available: 2:45–5:45 PM. The drivers showed up at 5 PM, during rush hour, then left without delivering because they couldn’t find parking. They even admitted they'd delivered to my building before and knew the limitations. So why wasn’t that accounted for? They didn't even provide an understandable rationale why they couldn't wait until 5:45 PM? Also, I waited all day for the delivery to show up but of course they had to arrive at the last hour possible.

This company is unprofessional, disorganized, and careless. If you're a retailer considering using AMJ, don’t. And if you're a customer expecting a delivery from them—good luck.

Since I can’t reply directly to my review, here’s the edited version.

Please don’t inflate the delivery time—your drivers were here for no more than 20 minutes, and I have timestamped proof. Nice try.

You asked me to email more details, which I did yesterday. No surprise—no response. Why ask for feedback if you're going to ignore it?

This will be my final update because, frankly, I doubt anything will change. I finally received my deliveries yesterday, and I want to give credit where it’s due: the delivery team was fantastic—friendly, professional, and easy to work with.

What truly surprised me was what happened after I posted my review the first time. I included screenshots with timestamps, not realizing they showed the drivers' phone numbers. I assumed staff would use work phones, not personal cells. I was then contacted by someone claiming to be a Regional Manager. I thought they were calling to apologize—but no, they just asked me to take down the photos. NO APOLOGY AT ALL.

Ironically, the warehouse team who later delivered my items apologized multiple times, even though they had nothing to do with the situation. Urban Barn also reached out and apologized for the inconvenience.

I don’t want anything from this long review. I just want to share my experience so others know what kind of service to expect.

This company was recommended by my realtor. I discussed their rates over the phone prior to having them come to my home for an estimate. They were a bit on the pricier side but they are a reputable company and a member of the relevant associations and I was okay with the high end of average rates.

I had an in home evaluation and in person was discussed similar to what I had discussed over the phone, 3 movers, 1 truck, and a 6 hour minimum.

Subsequently I received their formal quote which recommended that I have 4 movers, 2 trucks, and an estimate of 9 hours to complete my move of 20 city blocks. Moving from 1000sq ft detached home to a 1000sq ft 2 level townhome. The hourly rate for their formal quote totalled over $300/hr.

I was rather shocked and honestly felt that they were simply trying to take advantage of me as a single woman. I referred back to my moving costs from 5 years prior which had been 3 movers, 1 moving truck and 6 hours total.

I had no issue with their rate for 3 movers and 1 truck, but the bait and switch tactic used for their formal quote and expecting me to agree to 2 trucks and 4 movers for a minimum of 6 hours up to 9 hours felt incredibly scummy.

I subsequently booked another company who again did an in house evaluation and agreed that 3 movers, 1 truck and 4-6 hours of labour would be sufficient for my move.

We had an extremely disappointing experience moving with AMJ Campbell from Toronto to Vancouver in February.

We decided to hire AMJ (even though they were pricier than other companies) because they offered a guaranteed delivery date, and our move was time-sensitive.

Unfortunately, one of our three vaults was left behind in Toronto. AMJ did not realize they had left one behind until they called us two weeks later to arrange for delivery of the two vaults, and we told them there should be a third. We were told by one of the unloading reps that our belongings were likely left behind in Toronto for such a long time because the company dispatcher had gone on vacation and back up coverage was not put in place.

Once AMJ realized they had left one of our three vaults behind, they told us they would expedite shipping of the missing vault and gave us a new date for it to be delivered. We booked off work for that date and arranged for child care so that we could be ready to receive the delayed vault and unpack it. However, AMJ then told us they would not be able to meet that date, and that delivery of the missing vault would be further delayed.

We ultimately received the missing vault in the end, but not without major cost and disruption, which we had sought to avoid by hiring AMJ in the first place. We received compensation for the late delivery of our belongings, in accordance with AMJ's policy. However, the compensation fell far short of remedying the major disruption caused by AMJ's delays and miscommunication.

We are mindful that mistakes happen from time to time, but the repeated avoidable mistakes and miscommunication by AMJ throughout the process approached a level of negligence that is unacceptable, especially given the prices the company charges.

I do want to note that the loading and unloading teams on each end were friendly, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. But given our overall experience, I could not recommend AMJ Campbell to anyone else who is looking for a competent, professional moving company.

UPDATE: After the company responded to this review inviting me to contact them to resolve the poor service issues, I did so. AMJ ignored my e-mail, which is consistent with their terrible customer service detailed above. Do NOT use this company.

I recently used the services of AMJ Campbell in Delta to pack and move my stuff from White Rock to Montreal. Their services were incredible.

My first meeting and subsequent conversations with Randy in sales were impressive. He was professional and his price was fair. He was very quick to respond to my emails including a desperate one I sent asking for the return of my golf clubs the movers mistakenly drove off with. He got them back for me.

I also retained AMJ’s packing service. The packer, Judit, was amazing. Not only was she courteous, prompt and efficient, the quality of the packed boxes was extraordinary. I chuckled when I saw how carefully items were individually wrapped and the boxes being packed so well, I joked to myself that she must be an expert at Tetris. More importantly, she was hard working and inspired my trust.

I chose AMJ’s vault system and it gave me the confidence that my stuff was secured and the possibility of damage was much less.

The movers, Adam and Noah, were great guys, strong and wise at the necessary twists and turns required to move furniture. They are hard-working, no nonsense guys you would want to move your stuff.

From start to finish, I always felt that AMJ cared about my belongings and me as a client.

This is the second time we have used AMJ Campbell. They took the stress out of my mom’s move. They were professional and diligent. Easy to work with. Jesse and his team were great! And Anthony who helped co-ordinate it. Would recommend

Move went great! My surveyor, Deb, was very professional and explained the move well. Randall (Randy?) and his team were quick, efficient and got the move completed 1/2 an hour earlier than expected!

Packers were thorough and methodical. nothing was broken during the move due to the large amounts of paper used. Movers were efficient and hard working. All boxes were picked up in May 12.
