We called Arbutus RV on the advice of a friend who suggested that they could possibly help us with a storage cabinet that had come loose in our Airstream trailer. The crew members were extremely helpful and the technician who worked on the problem did an outstanding job. Communication was good and the pricing was fair. We are so grateful that they were able to help us or our vacation would have been spoiled.

I am really shocked by the negative reviews here! I’ll start by saying that I was the President of the largest international, multi award-winning, customer service monitoring firm in Canada for 20 years. So there shouldn’t be any doubt about my qualifications to judge customer service levels. Janine was my sales rep. Then I’m at Sean who I believe oversees the service department and everything related.. fight outline everything that both of these individuals did for me, I would be writing a novel here. From the first conversation I had with Janine, there was an immediate feeling of trust and importance as a potential customer. Being excited about finding the fifth wheel of my dreams, to say that I contacted her 24/7 for a couple of weeks, is not an understatement. it didn’t matter what time I messaged her she always responded immediately. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and absolutely fantastic in her job. But it’s not just a job to her. She treated me as a friend with priority. Anita in financing is beyond experienced and knowledgeable. If it can get done or almost get done, she’s going to do it! She even said she would be available on her day off because she understood how important this potential purchase was to me. Then I met Shawn. Once again, I was blown away! There wasn’t anything that I asked for that they did not help me out with. Shawn went way beyond ..and I mean way beyond … helping me. he even arranged to have his company vehicle and employee pick me up from Nanaimo and drive me to Port Alberni and then back again to look at the fifth wheel I wanted to purchase!! Gary was the driver and he again was phenomenal! As a leader in the field of customer service, I can honestly say no other business has provided me with this level of superior customer service, consistently, at all levels, from every employee, at every turn. Hi, I have had dealings with another RV dealership in Langley and it was an absolute nightmare, which is why I did not go back to make another purchase with them. Thank you!Thank you! to everyone at Arbutus RV, Port Alberni. If I could give you 100 stars, I would I’m almost sad that my buying venture is over because you made the whole process for me enjoyable, yet professional. You were very good to me, and for that, I shall never forget! 🥰

We bought our RV last July and it was infested with fleas. A year later we are still trying to get rid of them.
Do not believe what you think gets done. They do not clean or even look to see if anything is wrong as our hot water tank only lasted less than a year. Everything was filthy. The kitchen drawers were all broken. I would not recommend Arbutus Port Alberni.

Don't get me wrong the sales people were great to deal with.

I'd avoid this company at all costs if I were you - since my original review, they've done nothing but lie to me & refuse to solve my problems. Many problems that were documented by their own techs as needing to be repaired.

The sales staff were fantastic - buying our RV was a great experience. Janine really went above & beyond to make the deal - we truly appreciate that. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends.

Dealing with the parts & service department has been an absolute nightmare. We've had no working stove since we brought the RV home - nearly 4 months ago. I'm lucky to even get a call back or a response to an email - trying to actually get anything done has been a disaster. Zero communication, zero progress - and then after 2.5 months of waiting for ANYTHING to get done - they essentially said they can't do anything and pawned us off on a different location so we could start the process all over again.

Had I known this was the service we could expect, we would have never even considered purchasing here. So unbelievably disappointed.

Never mind all of the things that went wrong with my trailer in the first year, that I had to fight to have them fixed. I told the finance lady I wanted to be finished paying for this trailer in 5 years. That is not even what she set up. she made it so that I have to "renew my mortgage in 5 years" they're absolute scam artists as far as I am concerned. I deeply regret buying my trailer. I'm gainfully employed, not on welfare I don't need to pay for a fckin trailer for 25 years

I have also read some of the poor reviews for the managers trying to claim that they do to try to communicate no... they do not. Their communication sucks. They leave you hanging. They do not give two Hoots about you. As long as you signed on the dotted line and they've already made their money they really don't care. If they can ignore your problems long enough that your warranty will no longer cover them, that is exactly what they do

In the night we had a leak at the window and our campervan Lief full of water. We spontaneously drove to the workshop the next day without an appointment and we were helped immediately without waiting. The staff was super friendly and professional. 1000 thanks you have saved us.🙏

Where to start. Bought a Grand design in October 2021. We're told delivery would be 5 days, and it began. Several times were told it was delays. Then not a month in to living in it, the hot water tank busted and leaked everywhere underneath. After several calls and saying we need hot water, finally they showed up with a temporary tank that is smaller then the original. All insulation was removed because of the water damage. 3 months later, still no new tank, no insulation and we were told this week, now it's next week. And did I mention the fridge only works on propane and the shower was leaking inside the wall so my husband had to take that apart and put new fittings on because guess what, they don't care. They tell you they have the best warranty but warning everyone DO NOT BUY. I never complain or post negative but this is the worse service ever. And there is more. So in this case you don't get what you are paying for.
I asked for the warranty to begin again because they are not fixed after almost 4 months and the response was we cannot do that. But it also isn't acceptable to wait for months for warranty. So I will continue to find a solution to the problem. Next is a phone call to Indiana where they are manufactured. But I would suggest to do your homework on the service dept. And the builders of the trailers.
