Deal with Atlantic Dodge Chrysler at your peril.. Their communication is poor, their words apparently cannot be trusted. It’s not that the problems happened, it's how you deal with them
 Frankly they have let me down.. Here is my story..

Wednesday Jan 9 --I reached out to Atlantic Dodge to make an appointment to see a truck on Saturday.

Saturday Jan 11 -- We go see the truck and get a quote on our trade which we decline..
We agree to buy the truck, get financing, sign all the paperwork and they say it will be delivered Tuesday.. Wow that was quick

Monday Jan 13 --They call to say the undercoating appointment will be later than planned.. The truck will be delivered Wednesday.

Wednesday Jan 15 4pm --The truck is delivered but it doesn’t have a plate.. Apparently declining the trade meant to them we would transfer the plate..
We will call it a miscommunication..
The driver called the business manager and asked “What should we do?”
 He said they will get us a plate and courier it to us..

I also didn’t get the registration so I can’t prove I own the truck he says that will be sent with it.

Friday Jan 17 --I text the business manager and ask for him to forward me the tracking number when he has it
 No Response..

Monday Jan 20 --I text the business manager and let him know the plates still aren’t here and if they haven’t shipped I will be down that way on Thursday
 No Response

(Night)
I reach out to the salesman by email and ask what is going on, where is the ownership and the plates..

Tuesday Jan 21--Salesman responds saying he will find out.. I don’t hear anything

Wednesday Jan 22--I call the Salesman and ask what’s up? His response was didn’t someone call you
He tells me he will call me back.. When he does he says the plates were sent out.. Apparently they had transferred my old plate and had to transfer it back and get a new plate so it took some time..
The plates were sent by Canada Post..

Thursday Jan 23--We are in the area so we stop by just in case.. The business manager refuses to see us, but the sales guy once again tells us the plates were shipped out and there is no tracking number


Monday Jan 27-- The plates have still not arrived.. The paperwork for the loan arrived and the payment schedule that we had discussed is incorrect.

Friday Jan 31 -- We go to Access NS to declare the plates and ownership as lost; only to find the truck has not been transferred into our name, no plates have been issued. We demand to see the Manager. Some guy comes out and says he is the new sales manager and will help us.. 3 hours later we finally have an ownership, they didn’t get us plates as had been promised
 They offered to get us if we paid for them
 We picked up our own on the way back home.. The sales manager said he would call us Monday or Tuesday to see if he could make this right.. As I write this it’s Thursday the 6th.. He hasn’t called..

Wednesday Feb 5-- the business manager called me
 Apparently someone with my name called him wanting to buy a truck (poor guy).. When I told him I bought a truck from him 3 weeks earlier and he ghosted me and the sales manager got me the ownership last week. He acted totally oblivious to the whole situation


So to summarize; there was a miscommunication (that is not a problem) But then we were lied to multiple times, offers that were made were not honored, and it took them 3 weeks to transfer the ownership.

Thursday Feb 6 4pm So the sales manager's ears must have been burning.. I had just finished adding the latest details and summary when he called
 He’s going to send us a gas card for our troubles
 I don’t know how much will be on the card. I’ve spent 12+ hours, $150 in gas and put over 1000 km on my new truck to correct something incredibly basic that they couldn’t do correctly.

Feb 19 a $50 gas card arrived. Give them $80k for a truck they screw you around with the ownership for weeks, offer you plates and lie about both, have to chase them and they give you $50.

Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep dealership in New Glasgow. They have kept me a jeep owner since 2014. Tommy Smith is a great sales rep and will help you find what your looking for. Great response time and knows how to make a sale quick and painless. I can not speak to the service centre attached as I have not been there since the recently changed it over to new management. Im sure it was a good move as the last service centre and mechanics were terrrible. But as far as buying a vehicle goes this was the best service i had received. Trevor is also fantastic to work with when it comes to financials and paper work. Great customer service.

After looking far and wide for different Jeep’s we landed in New Glasgow and met Ashley. All I can say is WOW. She is one of the top reasons we decided to buy at Atlantic Dodge. Very friendly and awsome staff , makes you feel welcomes and not like your just buying a vheical and they meet all my needs price wise of what I wanted to pay and what I wanted size wise as a vheical it's self.
Cam was very excellent to have as a sales guy and so was k.sidhu as the advisor/financial guy. All around lovely place to deal with and I highly recommend going there if your a dodge person.

Purchased a 2019 ram crew cab back in august and ad a flat tire , and noticed there was no spare tire under the truck so ad to call a friend to bring me is spare , e mail my salesman never received an answer , e mailed the sales manager never got back to me either and it as been 3 weeks !! really not impress of them ,

Be really careful to really inspect the unit when purchasing, and i !!! it was supposed that the truck was inspected and carefully verified , when purchase ,!! since i got it i could always smell a coolant sent but no leak so i taught it was ok , just found out water pump is falling , this problem was there from the beginning also when apparently inspected ? this was my first purchase from them and my last !!!! sale rep was Jendron , sale Mng is Mich ..

Just be careful when you purchase , have it inspected by an other repair shop

19 Nov. 2024 we brought in our car for an MVI, a check-engine light, and a stuck rear hatch. They said had seen many of these stuck rear hatches and knew what to do, and would check to see what the light was about.

After 4 hours we got our first phone call from them. They had not been able to figure out the check-engine light and neither could they figure out how to open the rear hatch! And he had the nerve to ask, "How much time do you want us to spend on this because the bill is already up to $500?"

They charged us $500 and did NONE of what we asked. They even charged the MVI sticker fee without providing the MVI sticker.

The man said if we bring it to the dealer they might be able to fix it. That left us stunned: they ARE the dealer. What kind of dealer was he talking about? Not a car dealer, apparently.

Our receipt and the service rep told us they could NOT figure out why the evap light was on. Clearing the light does not equal fixing the problem; it just comes back on later. It was a Configuration error that we brought it to them for, we actually did not ask them to look into the evap issue, but the service intake man said he was not allowed to tell their technician what to do so would not take direction from me on what needed to be done.

We brought our car to another mechanic and he said the parts recommended by Dodge needed to be replaced soon, but were not bad enough to fail the MVI. He passed it, and we ordered the parts from NAPA for half the cost of Dodge.

Regarding the rear latch, it is a common problem for which we found solutions on-line before bringing it to the dealer, but as with the engine check light, he said he was not allowed to tell the technician how to fix things, so he would not take my input on what we wanted done.

From now on I'll bring it to a mechanic who will do what I want him to do instead of charging me for whatever he decided was needed.

Purchased my New Ram from Atlantic Chrysler a week ago. Last night I noticed an issue with the truck that likely would have required a technical resolution.

I called the service department and spoke to a very knowledgeable and courteous gentleman named John. On describing the issue he mentioned that he would have to get back to me with a course of action.

Not even 15 minutes later he called back having arranged the services of a specialist technician to deal with my truck on the same day! I drove the 150km to the dealership hoping for the best but expecting the worst. On arrival they immediately got to work assessing the problem and finding a fix. Needless to say their team completed the required work in barely two hours! So far it looks like my problem has been solved.

Nowadays this kind of service, dedication and professionalism is almost unheard of. My compliments to the Atlantic Chrysler team (especially the service personnel)
you’re doing things right!

If you need a new vehicle I can totally recommend them.
