déçu par AVIS USA/Canada. Des frais supplémentaires apparaissent sur la facture lors du retour du véhicule, non clairement annoncés lors de la prise du véhicule. On ne comprend pas, on ne fait que payer en plus. On a eu le cas à Los Angeles, puis à Toronto.

Depuis j'ai eu un retour par le service client AVIS Ottawa. J'ai eu des infos claires. Merci.

J'ai eu une très mauvaise interaction avec la service à la clientèle. Lorsque j'ai essayé de louer la voiture, la madame au comptoir m'a dit que c'était louche le fait que ma carte de crédit avait mon nom un peu effacé et elle a insisté que j'utilisais une autre carte de crédit. Je lui ai donné une autre pour qu'elle puisse vérifier mon identité, mais j'ai quand même utilisé ma carte de crédit préféré (en raison de ses points de voyage) et il n'y avait aucun problème. The hold went through. Je suis allé chercher la voiture et 5 minutes après, elle a couru envers moi afin de se plaindre que j'ai utilisé ma carte de crédit préférée et elle réfusait de me laisser partir sans utiliser mon autre carte de crédit. C'était tellement une mauvaise expérience pour AUCUN raison. Je n'aime pas être traité comme criminel lorsque j'essaie de vivre ma vie.

Rented a car from Avis YOW.

The drivers side glass had been broken and replaced before I picked up the vehicle, however there were shards of glass all over, one such shard made it into the back of the seat and after sitting on it and only noticing when I felt a burning sensation that the glass had cut the back of my leg and resulted in my shorts stained with blood.

The windshield wiper fluid had also been neglected to be filled and after light rain I could not clean the windscreen when spray dried on the windshield and had to stop a few times during my highway drive so I could see out of the window. In my opinion this is dangerous.

The door was also filled with glass shards and could hear it rattling around on my 4 hour trip to Toronto.

A simple 10 minute pre check of this vehicle could have solved all these issues.

Finally when I picked up the car I was told 200km / day was included. However upon drop off was charged for every single kilometre.

DO NOT sign the papers before you see the car physically.
I was told to sign and said, why I am signing the papers that all is good before seeing the car ?
The answer, the car is good you can sign it...
They will force you to sign, lying the car is ok, and 99% of the time they have scratches etc... they all have something, remember those are rental cars.

I will never rent anymore in this location, I have ZERO TRUST
DO NOT sign, see the car before, or don't leave the parking lot.

All other rentals companies like NATIONAL or HERTZ do go with you and check the car with you checking all is good and then you sign the papers.

Terrible experience with AVIS at the Ottawa airport. The staff gave me inconsistent information that contradicted my contract. I clearly stated my travel plans and that I might return the car early, yet I was still hit with extra charges for kilometers. It felt like they were trying to nickel-and-dime me. Very frustrating and unprofessional. I won’t be renting from them again and would advise others to be cautious.
