The buses are clean, heated in the winter and ac is running in the summer, drivers are absolutely lovely (don't forget to say "thank you"), ticket to Banff cost $6 and it is free around Canmore but 9/10 it is late. So if for whatever reason you depend on the bus, you are screwed.
My roam app isn't working (yes, I uninstalled and istalled it back again few times)

I've lived in Banff for 5 years and the buses are constantly late. I'm currently sitting at the bus stop in the industrial, and it was supposed to be here at 4:47 pm. It's now 5:07 and no bus. I had to drop my car off at the mechanics & I always check the bus return times back into town so I can make sure I'm out here, car is dropped off early enough that I won't miss it. Not the first time this had happened to be out in the industrial. And the new Roam app is garbage. I have checked in the Roam app, google maps time and the QR-code that can be scanned at the bus stop and all 3 have given me 3 different times.
So frustrating, do better!

Got to the lake Louise bus station with 15 minutes to wait for the x8 5:37 bus but it filled up and I couldn't get on. The next bus doesn't come till 7:57, close to 2.5 hours of waiting. And I can't leave the line because even with only a few minutes past the bus leaving there's over 25 people in line (the amount the bus takes) and so if I leave the line I can't get on the next bus. Taking the bus is promoted all over Banff NP and I want to use public transit since it's better for the environment and should be cheaper than driving but it does not have the reliability to be trusted and costs $10 each way, which is equivalent to parking if you just have 2 people. The roam attendant had no sympathy for all of us having to so long, even when the there was older people asking about it.

DONT TAKE THE BUS!!!

My wife and I had a Reservable Super Pass to go from Lake Louise to Banff Town. We had booked two spots on the 7.57 PM bus from Lake Louise. When we got to the bus stop, we found out from the display at the stop that the bus was cancelled. We were left outside in the cold without any communication from Roam Transit (no email, text, or phone call about what to do next), and we couldn't get through to them from our side either. We had to order a taxi from Banff Town with other travelers that were also left stranded by Roam Transit. Roam Transit later refunded the tickets but refused to reimburse us for the cost of the taxi. Roam Transit should have actively reached out to customers with a timed ticket and arranged for alternative transportation back to Banff Town. The way Roam Transit handled the situation was disappointing and unprofessional, and made for an unpleasant end to a beautiful day at Lake Louise. Leaving customers out in the cold at night to fend for themselves is not acceptable.
