Highly recommend this company! As someone moving from NS to BC I was anxious about costs and transparency. Not only did the owner communicate in a timely fashion, he immediately updated the estimate when United Van Lines let him know that a shuttle service would be required on the delivery end. (my destination address is on a narrow laneway)
For someone on a budget, this communication was greatly appreciated.

We would never use this company again. They were short staffed, took almost 12 hours to move us and damaged our furniture and floors. We are still waiting, almost 9 months later, for our floor to be repaired. The actual movers themselves were friendly and nice, hence the 2 stars. If not for that, it would have been a zero.

This is the team you want for your move! Awesome communication with the office to figure out exactly what I needed because moving is something I don’t do that often. Great care was taken with my belongings - it was wrapped and strapped in the truck and arrived exactly how it left. The guys were on time, quick and an absolute pleasure to work with 🙂 So nice to see a team that enjoys what they do! Highly recommend A+

Can't say enough about how good Burgess Transfer is, but here's a few words: We had 3500 lbs from a large 1 bedroom apt moved across the country. One 4-man skilled team of pros boxed and loaded in, and another 4-man skilled team of pros unloaded, skippered by the same captain. A very heavy piano was part of the load. Emphatically saying these guys are good is a blatant understatement. You won't go wrong with this bunch.

Do not use it for long distance move!! Avoid it at all cost. Sneaky as hell and the service department was horrible to speak with. Snoody attitude and only cares about collecting money. I move from NS to AB using their service. Not only were they late for delivery, they also asked for extra charges to shetle service, which was not included in the original bill. And deny delivery if the shetle service cost was not paid. If this wasn't high way robery I don't know what is!!!!
