Let me start by saying I’ve been a customer since the uptown Waterloo location used to be called bud and sally. Over the years, Canna Cabana was my go to and always delivered as promised, I’ve never had to return anything - over 6 years a customer never had complaints. Used to love this beechwood location up till recently. I got a pre roll pack, went home opened up the container, and it seemed to be a dud. It was empty. I called them up and they said to come in during the daytime when the boss was there. I went in, and explained what happened - mind you this is a $9 pre roll pack, not something super expensive. The guy immediately said - “oh no I WISH I could help you” , “you have to understand it’s so hard for me to believe you”. And also the classic “I don’t know how to explain this to my boss” and the other classic “my boss wouldn’t believe me if I told them your story”. You could tell by smelling inside the container that no product ever touched it, since it smelled like plastic off an assembly line - just empty - like the plastic smell if you bought an empty plastic container from a dollar store or something. The complete lack of empathy and understanding from the “manager” was truly despicable. In the end I let it go then cause it was $9, and I didn’t want to ruin my own day, But this is my caution to all you shoppers - regular and newer ones - whatever you buy, make sure you have what you paid for inside the box. especially if its something expensive, since these guys REFUSE to take any losses suffered as a part of manufacturing/assembly line errors. Greedy policies, terrible customer service. When a store clears over $1.8M a year and you won’t take a $9 write off which you could charge back to the manufacturer (instead of suggesting I do it) and at the same time fail to accurately absorb the evidence presented in front of you by a loyal customer of over 6 years, you’re quite slow and make a terrible customer service person. Don’t worry, you did your corporate masters proud, I’m sure they gonna cut you a deal in their latest acquisition.

As a regular customer, I have always appreciated the service provided by your staff. However, my recent experience was appalling.

I arrived at like 10:50 PM, just before closing time at 11, and patiently waited as the employee completed a transaction with another customer. Once she began checking IDs, another customer entered the store. She instructed him to wait behind a wall, warning that she could lose her job if he didn't comply.

As she proceeded to check IDs, I patiently waited and informed her that I would purchase any pre roll pack not even a sativa or indica preference because she was stressed and also had the store stock out so I couldn’t look anyways. Despite my clear communication, she asked me to specify my choice, and when I went to speak more she turned around to speak to another customer - as if I hadn't already told her I’d buy almost anything.

She then grabbed three random items from the shelf and brought them to the register. The only reason the rude customer received what he wanted was because he selected his own items from the shelf. After assisting him, she dismissed me and another customer, telling us we had arrived too late and to avoid coming in so close to closing time.

This blatant disregard for fairness and customer service was shocking. I have never witnessed such a meltdown in a retail environment, especially from an employee I know to have been with your company for a while.

This location is by far THE worst location. I use to love this location! When Justin was employed there. But now they have pretty much useless and incompetent employees. I had to return a 510 WeedMe Max Mango Blueberry cart. Mind you I purchased this cart a day prior. When it was time to use it. It wasn't working with any of my devices (cart was completely full). Since it didn't work I went back to return it the next day. Well let me tell ya that it was the WORST experience I've had ever. It was the female employee with preicings and colourful hair (Ms. USELESS). she accused me of lying, Accused me to be scamming them. First off I'm a elite member and I go there all the time without returning anything. I had original packaging and receipt yet, she still gave me a hard time. It took 40mins of arguing before they finally returned it and I told them I would never be back. The useless employee didn't believe at all. That she made me step outside with her to smoke the cart to show proof it didn't work. WEEL that's SUPER unprofessional as you CANT DRIVE INTOXICATED!. SO THAT RIGHT THERE SHOULD BE REASON FOR FIRING. Making a customer smoke infront of your store to show a product doesn't work is unheard of. They told me they have alot of people returning half used carts to just get new ones. But this case is different THE CART WAS COMPLETELY FULL!. Such a rude and useless staff at this location! Be careful unless you want to be treated like a criminal! I will NEVER be back. I will take my business to your fairway, uptown, and Weber location.

I went into the store on April 22nd 2025 around noon. I was first in line of 3 customers to get my ID checked. My ID was checked and I was the first to enter the store, already knowing what I was there for I went straight to the display case where it was located. I proceeded to wait and watch all other patrons get served systematically and leave before me including one who didn’t know what he wanted. The last patron even offered the employee to serve me first to which the employee ignored him and disregarded me. I understand some customers are friends or regulars but it should be first come first serve regardless. It felt almost discriminatory by the end of the transaction waiting in the store for 20 minutes when I should have been in and out in less than 5. Bad memories always seem to have a way of being remembered over the good.

They weren’t honoring there price match policy as her pin has issues and she has been using some else’s logins she attempted but said it isn’t working as they have a 5 km limit (dab glass 5.4km away) and when I showed website policy she said they are told not to and she doesn’t want to step on anyone’s toes…. They left chewing nicotine on the counter unsupervised as in the pictures that anyone can walk off with including myself . They told me to go elsewhere, so I went to ira needles and the assistant manager gladly helped me out and did the 5 percent price beat, all photos are evidence to there bad practices

I used to really love this place. I have been coming here since I moved here almost 4 years ago. Unfortunately, some of the people they have hired have zero customer service skills. This is the third time this month that the big guy with the glasses has left me standing, waiting to be helped. He lets me in, disappears to the back or answers the door and starts helping those people while I'm left waiting. He is extremely clueless. Tonight (12/23) I left without being helped and he didn't even notice. It's unfortunate because I live right beside the plaza in which the store is located in. Sad to say I'll have to take my business to the Boardwalk location from now on.

PS, Andrew and the girl with the piercings are fantastic.

Started coming to this store couple of months ago for cartridges as the prices are sometimes good. Unfortunately I won't be going there any longer due to HOSTILE costumer service.
