We had shaun and Hamid move all our items from our apartment to our house. They were extremely professional and worked quick and efficient. We have an awkard staircase at the entrance of the apartment and they were able to navigate our heavy furniture with no problem! I 100% recommend them for your moving needs!

Writing this review on behalf of my mother who moved from Ontario to Alberta.

Pick up date was Oct 18, agreed upon delivery date (pending any contractual issues like mechanic or weather) was Nov 13.

When the movers came to pick up my belongings, they came under the name BC express movers which have a C- rating on BBB.
The items were picked up, and the invoice was paid in full 2 days before delivery was scheduled.

When it came time for my items to arrive, I had to call the company to ask where it is as it was not delivered.
First response I got was “we don’t know”
Second response I got was “still in Ontario”
When I spoke with a manager they told me the items are delayed because the truck has mechanical issues.
A company only has 1 truck?

So… I requested driver logs, mechanical logs, a gps log for peace of mind. The company refused and said they are under no obligation to do this.

I wrote and sent a letter through registered mail expressing legal action that I will pursue if my belongings are not delivered by November 26. They finally arrived Nov 27.

What to do for those who have not used a National mover and still intend to after reading this:
Buy AirTags and put them with your stuff.
The biggest reason why your products will not be delivered on time is that the truck is not full and they are waiting for another person to fill it so they can ship a full load, however they will never admit this as this practice would be considered negligent and it is the only reason not listed in the contract for this reason.
Get OPP and the Consumer protection Agency involved if you continue to have issues and are not getting any answers.

Other options include moving all items yourself with a rented truck (as challenging as it may be, you will have peace of mind), or shipping containers.

Never use this company, never use any national mover. Beware.

and EXTRA CHARGES

I am writing this review to hopefully help Cargo movers improve their service and for those who are moving between provinces. In my case Calgary to Victoria!

After narrowing down a few companies based on their reviews online and the initial quote I chose Cargo Movers.

Initial info exchange and signing up agreement when very smoothly and friendly. We agreed on the date and time and I signed the agreement and paid the deposit

These guys will not give you a specific time and date till the day before the pick up.

Don’t book with them if you are having a tight commitment with your move dates (this might be just with long distance moves)

The pick up went smoothly, the pick up crew in Calgary were nice, worked hard, loaded the truck in a very organized way and I watched Bilal strapped them all tightly.

Again I could not get a specific delivery date from them (had a 3 days window confirmed).
The delivery date changed twice and it cost me flight change fees, ferry fee and accommodation.

Even that both I and my neighbor (used Cargo Movers) both told them about the narrow drive to the house, They ignored our advice, brought a huge truck, had to carry all the furniture and boxes one by one up the hill (Poor Amir)

And they charged me extra $500 for the long distance carry. They did the same thing on the second delivery for my neighbor.

I have pictures from when they opened the truck. Everything was thrown on top of each other.

My bed base was broken, the bed frame and my bookshelf were dented/scratched heavily.
My bike handle and gear was broken, my outdoor lamp was broken.

The whole experience was very frustrating and expensive for me.

AND I was charged 2.5 times the initial quote ! Which is too much of an error for an estimate.
Their initial quote was for (Move Size: 2 Bedroom 4550 lbs) Makes me think the initial lower quote is a trap to get you to sign with them.

Thank you for your response even that it is a few months later Jordan, obviously there are some communication issues within your team, a lot of information you have put here is not really how my case was handled.

you moved my neighbor after me and unfortunately your answers are not very true. I stand by all the points I've made. Please make sure the information passed to you is true.
Nobody called me to give me heads up about the drive way and there is not such an email. I never complained about packing cost of $250 but the way the packing was done. As the result of your packing service my bike, lamp and other furniture were broken or dented. I have the pictures. you see how my stuff arrived.
I called and made my complain clear however nobody from your side called me or tried to make it right. Just a reply to a negative review will not do it

The price was great compared to what we were quoted for moving from BC to Alberta.
Everything was pre packed in totes for the movers. 6 items of small furniture so shoudl be easy. Packed the truck and it was a different truck that delivered. We were not notified that they were off loading and reloading. Also a few if our items got damaged, with scratched and cuts. Broke.a leg off a stand that they wrapped. Seemed rushed rushes rushed.

I used "Cargo Movers Canada" for the second time because I like their professional service. Again, I am satisfied with the moving.

Both the movers and office staff were friendly and professional. They had patience to listen to my any concerns. The moving was efficient and smoothly.

I definitely recommend cargo movers to my friends.
