I would like to share my experience. I have used City Cabs 4 times in the last couple weeks. I had never used them before. I had to take my mother to the hospital and she is on oxygen. All my drivers were wonderful, they helped me get her in and out of the car, the one driver even took the wheelchair back into the hospital for me. I saw some of the negative reviews and maybe it’s based on driver, but my experience has been wonderful. The drivers really helped what was already a stressful situation with taking an elderly person with many health issues. Thank you City Cabs.

This taxi service is unbelievably unreliable. This morning I had the worst taxi service I've ever had. I pre-booked my ride, early to allow extra time for the short trip due to weather, and the taxi picked me up 20 minutes late. The driver was dispatched late, he said he got called to my location at the time he was actually supposed to already be there. He then spent a few minutes trying to get up a hill he was clearly not going to get up. He was on his phone texting while driving in the snow. When dropping me off, he drove past my drop off location, despite me pointing it out to him, then turned around and drove past the driveway, which meant he had to turn around again. I ended up over a half hour late for an appointment that's roughly a 5 minute drive from my home. Absolutely ridiculous. For my trip home, I had to wait a half hour again. I spent more time waiting for taxis today than I did at my appointment, which was supposed to be an hour long, but got cut in half due to the taxi companies unreliability.

They also did very poorly in the past couple of weeks picking me up from the pain clinic. Two weeks ago, the driver had me walking back and forth between the parking lots on either side of the building trying to find him. Last week, the GPS sent the driver to a random parking lot up the road to pick me up, how strange! This kind of poor service is unacceptable, especially when dealing with someone with impaired mobility like me. I can't be running around everywhere in the cold and snow waiting and searching for my taxi.

I'll be looking into other taxi services for my appointments, hopefully I'll be able to find something more reliable.

Edit to add: When I used this company over the summer for an out of town ride, I pre-booked a mobility taxi because I had brought my mobility scooter. They sent a regular sedan. Fortunately, my scooter comes apart to fit in a car, although it ended up sticking out a bit due to trunk space being taken up by other things, and the trunk couldn't close so the driver had to bungee it. Imagine if my scooter couldn't fit! I guess the issues just don't end with this company.

Terribly Rude and Un safe driving. Do not use this company.

I Was in a bus with my seniors today and a city cab driver completely cut us off and proceeded to honk and us on the highway.
When we drove by them all the individuals in the van gave me residents and I the finger, INCLUDING THE DRIVER!

Second day in a row calling to complain about a driver passing school bus with its light flashing. Grey Toyota Camry license plate CYBP 042. Same driver same car guy doesn’t give a shit. City cabs you should really educate your drivers.

Me and a friend took City Cab from Edelweiss to Pops and Rubys but decided head home before we got to Pops. The driver tried to take us through North Waterloo on our way to Lawrence Ave which is way out of our way . When we debated the route with the driver he was arguementative with our request and finally followed our directions to the house. Afterwards we as to speak with a manager, no one evere contacted us. I assumed it was an error on the drivers part but have been barred from using the services. I would strongly recommend using another taxi service over city cabs because of the service i recieved, they are rude, dishonest and show no care towards thier customers. Geoffrey Atkinson

I recently had an excellent experience with City Cabs and wanted to share it here.....we had just had a major snowfall (over 30 cm) and I couldn't take the bus as I had just completed a six-day Sit & Stay (I'm a pet sitter) so I had a lot of bags....I called the cab company I normally take, was on hold listening to a recording for 10 minutes (waiting outside in -20C), gave up, booked via their app....showed "searching for available driver" for 45 minutes!!! Have you stood outside in -20C for nearly an hour? It's NOT fun. Called them back, canceled the booking, called City Cabs, got through immediately, was told the driver would reach me within 15-20 minutes, and 15 minutes later he was there. That was impressive but the best part....the road we needed to take to get to my destination had not been plowed, my driver was doing fine, but then we came upon someone stuck and blocking the road, so we had to stop, and therefore we got stuck too. The driver then carried two of my four bags (a neighbour came to carry one and I took the other) to my destination for me. He definitely earned his gratuity. I will be a City Cabs customer from now on 100%.

Booked a ride too and from the airport on my last trip. 45 mins late picking me up to the airport. On the way home 80 mins after I landed they still hasn't showed up but kept stating "almost there". Did see 3 Waterloo taxies and a united....sounds like better alternatives going forward.

I have used City Cab's accessible taxi services several times for my mother over the past few weeks. Between visiting my father in the hospital and then subsequent trips related to his passing, getting my mother where she needed to be could have been a real challenge. The City Cab drivers made it easy and always did so with a smile and good humour. Thank you for making a difficult time slightly less difficult.
