Not reliable. If you are a student or non-driver I would carefully consider taking the bus if you need to be on time for your classes, appointments, etc. Always 20-40 minutes late for #7 outbound. Unfortunately some do not have the option to take other means of transportation but if you need something reliable, clean, and comfortable- don't take the bus.

Bus Line: 5 Inbound | Scheduled Time: 2:27 PM
Location: Howard Johnson stop, Sault Ste. Marie
Absolutely terrible experience today. I was waiting for the inbound bus scheduled at 2:27 PM at Howard Johnson. 5 inbound bus came by, it didn't stopped or opened their doors. I even ran after the last one and, due to a red light and traffic jam, I reached the Moose Lodge stop before the bus did. Still, the driver saw me and chose not to stop.
However, just a few minutes later, I saw the same bus stop at Giant Tiger to pick up only white passenger. This feels discriminatory and deeply unfair.
If this is the standard of service being provided, especially when someone is clearly trying to catch the bus, it's completely unacceptable. Public transit should be equal and accessible to all.
Please address this issue seriously.

The busses are typically late or early depending on the route. I am legally blind, and when people donât move out of the accessible seating area for me who are capable, the driver does not make them move. Instead I half to struggle to find another seat or stand. Sometimes Iâm told I half to run to another bus or it will leave without me. I am blind and canât run. The terminal does not have a bathroom. I have also missed appointments because the bus was so late. Occasionally a bus will skip stops to get caught up and then I half to take another bus to the terminal. The buses do not have many seats and are often unsanitary. I only take the bus if Iâm not going to a medical appointment. The drivers cannot explain how the transfer hub works.

There are many good drivers. Courteous and respectful, but I spend 2 hours a day on Transit to get to and from work. I won't go into details, but I need to be at work and at home at specific times. It is advertised that they are a dependable service and I have not had that experience. I had a driver that was consistently behind schedule and when I had words with him he told me that it was because of traffic. Meanwhile, all the traffic was passing him because he was driving too slow. Another time. I needed a transfer at the Sault college hub , but was left stranded there because the bus I needed had already come and gone. I had to find Wi-Fi and order a u-ride that costed me $25. The u ride and the bus happened to cross paths and I gave the driver the finger. Next time he picked me up he told me that it was inexcusable that I gave him the finger. I told him that he caused me a lot of stress and asked him if he even contacted the bus that I needed and he told me that he was too busy talking to somebody and forgot. It's getting way too out of control. The bus system as a whole is pretty ridiculous And now we have drivers that just don't care.

How many people squeezed on the bus does it take to become unsafe? There is not adequate handholding options available Which cause repercussions when the drivers take sharp turns

Had a very insulting experience today with the bus. I hate when they take the regular size bus off and put one of the smaller ones in it's place. I have mobility problems and I can't walk down slopes. After a horrible ride on the Second Line/ Steelton bus, (driver was speeding which caused myself and others to almost go flying out of their seats) I attempted to get off the bus at the terminal. After we let the pushy people off first, my husband went to ask the driver to put the ramp down so I could get off. The driver was gone so we were trying to figure out how to get me off the bĂčs when a rude security guard ordered my husband off the bus. My husband tried to explain but the guard said he didn't need the ramp. I said I did. yes the ramp was finally put down but people would not get out of the way to let me get off the bus. Maybe instead the security guards dhould do something about pushy people who cut infront, don't let disablued people off before they push through.

First I would like to share that the drivers, are, for the most part very good. They are courteous and helpful. Having moved here from another city, however, I am appalled by the bus system here. For example, the bus goes up Boundary Rd., but does not come back down. I guess folks can leave, but cannot come back home. There are several routes like that. It seems that the city has the attitude that the bus is just for a lower class of people who can't afford cars. In other cities the busses are used by everyone. Even city counsellors, doctors, and business people regularly take the bus. It is promoted as a safe, easy way to get around. I wish the city would see it this way here. I am a senior, but I often walk many kilometers rather than wait for a bus, especially on weekends. If the city would take a different approach, and provide better, more user friendly routes, and provide 1/2 hour service on weekends, maybe more people would use the transit system.
Thanks,
Wendy

These people know I have Autism but have decided to black list me for taking photos of buses and posting them on a Facebook blog (Public Transit). Last year I asked if I could take photos of my favorite bus from the sidewalk they said yes stay on the sidewalk and if you want we can send you a photo. I could not get a good photo of my favorite bus so I asked them for the photo. Not only did they not send that photo, several days later another person showed up to the garage to visit the same bus and he was invited INTO THE GARAGE to visit that bus. I actually knew that person from the bus nerd community and he told me all about it with photographs and everything. I cried for several days straight. My husband contacted the city asking them nicely if I could go in the garage and it was complete radio silence from them. So in short they are anti autism and need both compassion training and a seminar teaching them that people with Autism are NOT a threat to them. There have been several other incidents with the city as a result of me posting photos of buses online but this one was the worst! All I want at this point is an apology They know where I live. They know my email and my phone number is in the phonebook. I will gladly take this down when they apologize.
