I've been trying to feel at ease here at Connect but the amount of stolen things and the lack of noticable action taken to prevent it sickens me. As if being homeless isn't bad enough, what little we try to keep safe is ignorantly disregarded by (many not all) outreach employees at Connect warming center. It's terrible to feel unsafe from those who's literal job description is to "help" the homeless. Sometimes they really are seemingly doing the opposite thing. How come a camera can't be used to prove a theft and at least hope to see justice done? I want my recently stolen vape back! I'm not allowed to know who stole the thing but at least get the thing back from the person! I spent $135 on it and I won't be easily silenced about it. It may seem like it's just a vape, but it's not easy for me to feel safe buying another one just to get that one stolen to! The thefts around here are only getting worse and prevention needs to be seen. Make thieves repay the victimized and I assure you thefts around here will cease! I'm outraged because of the others who feel likewise and because we should feel safe here. I don't. Not at all. Outreach: Get on it! It's not all your stuff and I know we need to keep track of our own things like you tell us every time but we NEED your help using resources available at YOUR convenience. You know who's at fault and nothing is being done so accountability is on you as much as it is on the thief. Until change happens that's my opinion. We need someone who has our backs. Otherwise we're alone as usual. I've seen it done. That's why I know it can be done. Don't forget the time I was held accountable. I don't know what makes it happening to me any different.

Genuinely a mugging hazard to be within two buildings of this centre.

An important resource for unhoused and other vulnerable individuals. They work hard to provide necessary services within limited means.

This is an important part of the community, and although there is some controversy these people love to help the less fortunate. Help and support please

Amazing place for anyone seeking refuge from the cold/harshness of the street. Food, drinks, storage, beds seasonally.

Dangerous place. Surrounded by obvious drug use. Avoid this whole area if you value your safety.
