Visited this location on Oct 4, 2025. Obtained some foreign cash for an upcoming trip; however, they didn't have enough, so I ordered more. I advised I wouldn't be able to pick up until Sunday Oct 12, they said not a problem.

On Oct 7th, I received a call to let me know that my currency was in. I said I would be there to pick it up on Sunday Oct 12th, again, the reply was not a problem!

I arrived (GOING OUT OF MY WAY, as I don't live in Barrie, but drive through sometimes enroute to another destination) Sunday Oct 12th at approx. 1:30pm, and to my surprise my currency is not there, NOR can the customer service person even find my order?!

I explained I received a call on October 7th, advising me that the currency I ordered was there and ready to pick up - and offered to show him my call log. He said he looked and cannot find my currency or my order.

I asked if there was a manager he could call or perhaps get in touch with other employees (he was the only one there) who may have more information. He did not do that or offer any resolution, other than asking if I wanted to order again and I said NO thanks.

So now. at the last minute, I have to scramble this week to find another location to try and obtain the currency I'm looking for.

I will not use the services from this location again.

Visited here a few times to change currency. Was there on Wednesday and the lady behind the counter was such a pleasure to deal with. Asked where I was traveling to and we stuck up a great conversation whilst counting out my money . They also have better rates than the banks. Great customer service!

Very knowledgeable staff, nice and polite. Never waiting more than a few days to get my currency before a trip. Wouldn't suggest converting anywhere else!

Used to be my go to place. You need to train your employees to be respectful as I am bringing my business here. I ordered specifically brand new bills unmarked, i have done that before, your employee was very disrespectful (woman with dark hair and bangs). I will not come back. Ridiculous

I phoned Continental Currency Exchange when my bank was unable to assist me in obtaining the Mexican pesos I needed for my family vacation. Ralph patiently answered all my questions on the phone and told me he would have what I needed put aside for me to pick up. As promised, the pesos I needed were waiting for me with my name on it once I arrived hours later. Not only were they able to complete the currency exchange I needed, but they also had a better exchange rate then my bank! Thank you!

I wanted to share my latest very positive experience with this business. After purchasing foreign currency we had a family medical emergency the same day, which resulted in the cancellation of our trip. Imee, the kind and extremely helpful staff member, assisted me to communicate with the branch manager Ralph Cruz, regarding our situation. I should mention Ralph took the call while he was at the emergency department, with his child, dealing with his own family emergency. At which time he made the extremely considerate decision to cancel the transaction for the exchange because it had just happened. This accommodation reinforced how the staff at this business go above and beyond to try and find a solution to help their customers. They provide exceptional customer service which is why our friends and family use them exclusively for our foreign exchange needs. Our family is truly grateful for the empathy Ralph and Imee showed us that day and we will be loyal customers because of it. Patricia
