On Dec 11 I was Extremely disappointed in the drop off of my winch delivery as the box was damaged and my winch was damaged as well once I unboxed it a week later when I got back from work . You can tell it was dropped on it side as the box was ripped and the inside was imprinted . Not happy as this was 600 dollar unit .

I was having a $2000.00 window delivered to my sons house. Dacota freight will only give you an approximate delivery time of a 3 hour span, but I was promised a half hour warning so we could get there to inspect the window and have it unloaded in the proper place. They let a renter sign for the expensive window and then they put it in the house. By the time I called the company as it was close to 3:00, the end of the 12:00 to 3:00 delivery time I was informed it had been delivered hours earlier. My installers can't move the heavy window back outside and down steps without more help, so it can't be installed today. A wasted day.
I would never recommend this company. I see from the reviews it has a lot of bad reviews. Should have checked the reviews first, but you would think a big hardware store would use a dependable freight company.

The worst delivery company in Cranbrook. I rarely get my parcels when I'm suppose to. My last one was covered in oil as were the contents of my parcel. They are rude and unprofessional. Don't use them

In the parking lot as I write this. The women at the front desk were extremely rude, refused to even look for my package, despite it saying online that it's at their building. They sent me to the other FedEx pickup in town, who were extremely helpful, called Dakota for me, and had them put my package aside.

I came back, about 10min later and the woman tried to send me away again!!! My package was literally sitting on her desk, and she basically refused to help me.

She finally handed me my package, and it's already been opened...

Extremely rude, dismissive, and literally refused to do their job, made fun of my surname to my face several times.

Really upsetting experience with these 2 women. Awful

This company delivered us a washer/dryer tower to our home and installed, it was purchased online through Costco. When the delivery people got here they were very unprofessional, were about 18-19 years old and did not look like they would be able to carry a machine this large into a house but somehow managed without any straps or anything. The one guy wasn't wearing a belt so we got to look directly at his crack the whole time, yuck.
While they were moving it in, they ripped a huge chunk of our linoleum floor. This is a brand new home that was just moved into a week prior and the lino is continuous through our whole house. They weren't willing to take responsibility and for some reason were trying to put the blame on Costco when costco sent us a great appliance that works and we are happy with. The only thing Costco is at fault for is hiring this company to deliver its goods. We had to pay for guys to come and do a temp repair - 2 guys driving 3 hours each way to come and repair, wasn't cheap. We will eventually have to replace the flooring, the rip is in the worst spot if the washer ever overflows.

If I could give minus stars, I would. This is the worst courier EVER. I don't even have a choice to not use their "service", because it is contracted through UPS as the local delivery. I had five parcels returned because they somehow thought we moved. Before they got the contract, I never had any problems with receiving my shipments with Purolater when they had the contract to deliver for UPS. I just received another notice today that yet another parcel was returned... I have contacted Dacota numerous times, and assured them we have not moved, yet the problems continue. I am losing business now because of them. Words cannot express my frustration and anger with this whole situation... and I'm an easy-going person who understands we can all make mistakes. . But this is ridiculous. It is my belief that Dacota should not be in business.

If you want to know what a failed company that is mersculasly holding together it Dakota. There common courtesy for other bissnises is out the window. Same for common sense. You would think as a fraught company they would call you to tell you about what happening to there delivery as a common curtesy, but nope. They never will call you.

The company is bought out by highway 9 a company that supposedly according to my desired it went bankrupt. 🤔 seems logical.

I had to call them just to find my fright wasent going to be delivered. When I could have spent my day not worrying about my shoppemt.

They don't care what you think.
Oh don't even get me started on the drivers SOME are so bad at Driving that YOU might as well prsy to his u don't die driving next or near them

We use Dacota for most of our outgoing shipments and all of our FedEx express shipping. Never an issue. The lady who answers the phone is always pleasant, the drivers are nice and packages are always picked up and delivered without issue. Would recommend to anyone.
