We ordered lunch from Dickey's for the first time recently, and we weren't overly impressed aside from the burnt ends which were delicious. The last time I was at a Dickey's was in Colorado, and there's really no comparison that can be made.

I ordered the Competition plate and found that the brisket had a way seemed to me to be an abnormally large fat cap. I understand that a lot of the flavour and tenderness comes from leaving some of the fat cap on the brisket while smoking, however, at every other authentic BBQ joint I've been to in Georgia and Texas, I've never been served brisket with this much fat on it. Given that this combination plate was $30, it was overpriced in my opinion. The brisket wasn't even that flavourful to be honest. My said her kielbasa sandwich was alright, but that's about it. The side portions are quite small as well. Nothing special whatsoever. There are much better BBQ restaurants in the Edmonton area.

The two stars are solely for the burnt ends. Too bad that this Dickey's wasn't more like the US one that I visited and enjoyed more.

I crave a giant baked potato at least once a week, and their baked potatoes fill that craving and some!! Love their brisket and their pork! The service is always kind and helpful. Always greeted with a smile. If your order delivery, I suggest ordering via their website as you save money and have more options. We will for sure continue to get their delicious food.

Great experience. The smoked brisket with mac 'n' cheese is full of flavor to the last bite.

Waited almost 25 minutes, for 1 sandwich , and baked beans. Paid almost 20$ for 1 sandwich, Then they gave my sandwich to a Random costumer,
The customer was the one who gave me my order, " assuring me me didn't do anything to it".
So needless to say I didn't eat it.
No new sandwich
No money back

Working in the area from our of town, I thought I would give it a whirl. Ordered the three meat plate with a peacan pie slice as a take out.
For the sides, I had mac n' cheese (which I felt was alright, but underseasoned, desperately needed salt), and some baked beans (which I felt could've almost been warmed right out of a can).
The smoked sausage was tasty, had a bit of spice, good snap.
The brisket was also cooked quite well, tender and moist.
For me the best part was the burnt ends, the meat was fall apart tender.

Nothing really stood out about the meal..... But it was alright. Didn't blow my mind, but was an average dinner choice for me.

Not disappointed. Just full.

Food was amazing, I had the brisket poutine. The cheese curds were amazing, fries seasoned well and the meat was just so good. Perfect temp served, tender and the flavor was great.

Quality has gone completely down hill, the beef brisket is over cooked it’s white as chicken, uneatable. Update: I sent a email to the comment below as requested and no one ever replied just an FYI that no one will care if they overcook your $30 meal

On May 28, 2024, I was tasked with ordering lunch from Dickey's for a meeting. It was quite a substantial order that I had emailed about an hour ahead. I asked if each meal could be bagged separately with the name on it and the staff there were more than happy to oblige. It took a bit longer than expected, however, they did EXACTLY as I asked and even assisted in helping me get the order to my vehicle. Upon my return to the office, each bag was handed to the proper recipient and everyone got exactly what they had ordered. The staff went above and beyond in the customer service department and I highly recommend. Not only for the service, but the food is amazing. Thank you so much, Dickey's! We will be back!!
