It is always so great to see people that can revive a space to welcome community in. Janet and Bill have done just that. I have been honoured to have been an artisan vendor in the space. People come from all over for the wonderful artisan markets that Dirt to Dishes put on and the space is always filled with love and laughter that is for sure. Janet creates on of a kind pottery and then helps teach others . In a world of busy, it is so worth the drive to Shelburne to step back in time , sign up for a class or just invest in some one of a kind pottery. You will be glad you did!

Janet is fabulous and so is her pottery! We have several Dirt to Dishes pieces and I’ve JUST arrived home from one of her workshops. First class for me, making berry bowls. The workshop was well-attended with great women, well-equipped, and Janet is a wonderful teacher. Can’t wait to go back.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of taking wheel-throwing pottery classes with Janet at Dirt to Dishes. The small class size allowed us to connect, laugh, and share. Janet is always nearby to offer a gentle suggestion or sometimes even intervene when that darn clay won’t quite centre (if you know, you know). The Dirt to Dishes studio/shop/classroom in The Barn is a comfortable space filled with history, creativity, and calm energy. I’m thrilled to have this creative outlet in Shelburne - it’s fabulous!
