This is a wonderful store. You can buy a lot of things here at excellent prices. They sell NHL cards and other sports items, toy cars, books, food and drinks, and more. The staff are very friendly.

This store forces people to use self checkouts. My belief is to support people and jobs, not machines. The employee at the self checkout refused to serve me at the cashier, and served another person instead as if I wasn't even inline. Her response to me asking for assistance was very rude, borderline ignorant. I left this store, and left the cart and things in it behind. Its simply this...Don't force someone to do something they simply are not willing to do. They lost two customers today. I recommend "the great Canadian dollar store" for better products, far better service, and no machine checkout, only good people there.

Clean, well stocked, organized, and I LOVE the self checkouts that take cash. I prefer this Dollarama over any one that I visited in the years I lived in St Johns due to the self checkouts. They’re fairly user-friendly and you rarely/never have to wait in line.

Absolute horrific customer service at this location today. The smug, apathetic manner of the so-called acting manager is beyond description. It seemed she actually enjoyed trying to further irritate an already dissatisfied customer.

Wouldn't go back there anytime soon. They had no one at the cash register to start, then when all 4 self checkouts were filled they had someone show up. She had to keep going back and forth because the self checkouts kept calling for assistance, even when it shouldn't have been needed. Need one staff at register for those that can't self checkout and a staff member who can assist at the self checkouts.

Also self checkouts do NOT accept gift cards, and that is not posted anywhere. I had rang in all my items at the self checkout, went to pay and it wouldn't take the dollarama gift card. So they had to void it and ring it all back in and the cashier register. Really need more training, more signage and more staff.

Great store.. i love shopping here but i dont like the long lineups to get checked in. They need more workers in busy hours.
