they operate like a scam operation. they never give us a specific time for when the repair guy is supposed to come by.
They only gave me a "between 8:30am-5:00pm" which is the whole day only for a chance for the repair guy to call in sick which means a whole dayoff wasted that i could have spent doing something else instead of having to be ready for the repair guy to show up. they often give radio silence when called or they send you in an endless loop of phonecalls.
This eastlink company needs to be investigated because this is people's lives they are messing with.
This can be considered criminal negligence.
They only care about the money.
The worse thing about it is the fact that they don't care about human life and only care about money which in itself is the reason why they make so much money.

I do not give eastlink even one star. I am an 81 year old senior with 8 months of illness and attempting to get better. On April 12th, 2023 I called this company and spoke to a man named Peter to cancel my service. I explained I was moving, not well and asked if someone could pick up equipment. I told him they could cancel service early, mid May, as I did not need it. I heard nothing from them so on May 23Rd I sent a letter to the company in Halifax explaining. Still not disconnected on May 29th and as I am handicapped my neighbour kindly took equipment to drop off at Highland Mall. The young man there spoke with me and said something about not being able to disconnect
as my neighbour isn't me. I am 81, handicapped, sent my receipt with all account info. with my neighbour and spoke with the person there.
I am moving to another province and this company, Eastlink is the MOST incompetent I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
I spent 45 minutes on phone with your employee Peter so you talk with him as I have no intention of wasting 45 minutes more.

I have had an issue with calls dropping on my phone. Have contacted the support team and so far no results so I went to store in mall and the girl reset my internet connection and then said if it didn’t work come back. So far so good.

**This is a review of the company itself, not of anyone at the brick and mortar store**
I'm renting a new build, so my hookup required a tech to come on site. Scheduled appointment #1, I waited well past the allotted time- nobody showed up.
I called Eastlink I was told there was "no access" but the agent would not describe what that meant. Ok, maybe I missed a knock or something.
Let's schedule appointment #2. Took time off work, sat next to my door. Waited. SAME THING.
Appointment #3 rolls around, by this time it's been a few weeks without internet. My neighbor and took lawn chairs and SAT IN THE FRONT PARKING AREA all morning like kids with no lemonade stand, until an Eastlink truck rolls onto the property, slows down, but continues through. The truck paused to turn back onto the road, and my neighbor ran over and the tech rolled his window down. She says (we both had appointments) "We're ___________and ___________ and you're here for us. Why are you leaving?" His response? "OH, I DIDNT THINK YOU WERE HOME."
Hook up was successful, but he was clearly annoyed, in a hurry and impatient. I felt bad for the guy, maybe they're short staffed? But, c'mon. My neighbor works from home and she was at real risk of losing her job.
I think he hoped to skip us, but pulled in so the GPS in the work truck would reflect he was at the address, therefore made an attempt.
Moral of the story, if you have an Eastlink appointment- SIT OUTSIDE.

Pathetic company. My grandfather got DIY internet last week. He got cut off 5 days after getting the internet. They suspended his internet until he sends them a picture of his ID, a picture of his sin number, a picture of his lease and a picture of a utility bill. Will not refund his money he didn’t even got a week out of his internet. Said they tried calling and they absolutely did not no missed calls from them no emails from them. They are a SCAM!!!! Always a problem with theses people. They just want your money. Poor customer service.

Website gave me the Greenlight for self install. Followed instructions, couldn't connect called support they couldn't help me have to send a tech support person out. Only went with eastlink due to convenience of having it being usable today. Was thinking about another company which would have took until Thursday to set up picked eastlink because I'd have it today moved into the new place thinking I'd have internet access as of today and have to wait until Thursday anyways. Canceling and going with the other guys anyways. Make me burn my data and buy dvd's so I can actually watch things without internet. At the store I had to wait in line while they had a second associate just standing there doing nothing.

I stopped in to see if they sold chargers for xcover 4 but they don't. Before I left I asked to check my bill. I ended up leaving with my bill being $15 less per month.
