Came here to leave a bad review because they literally are the worst shipping centre. Read all of the visible reviews rated 1 star showing that this is a common occurrence with this company. They don’t listen to customers concerns or take us seriously. Otherwise ppl would not keep having issues.

I live in an apartment building and they delivered my package to the mailbox area in the lobby. It ended up getting stolen. Too lazy to bring it to your door or put in the mail room right by the entrance to the building.

Submit a claim and they just tell you that records show delivered and to contact your shipping company. I was lucky to get a refund from my shipper but FedEx did not reply at all because they don’t care. They hire just about anyone these days.

Update: Fedex customer service called me and advised that unless you request a signature upon delivery when living in an apartment building, the courier can literally leave it anywhere they want as long as the proof of delivery picture is clear.

With this policy, it seems like delivering the package correctly to the client is not a priority. In the end, they make the process very difficult for people who don’t have time to wait around all day to sign for the package. Steer clear, use a different courier service that actually cares. 0/5 stars

So basically my parcel gets on truck everyday and never gets delivered. I call them and everyday they tell me to wait till end of the day. Can’t believe this nonsense. No one in FedEx have any idea why my parcel can’t be delivered. My house is in 5 km radius from there station.

This review is not for any one location, but FedEx in the Cambridge region in general.

Twice now I have ordered products online that, without my knowledge prior, get fulfilled and "delivered" by FedEx. But they never actually get delivered. The drivers do not even attempt to enter an apartment building or use a buzzer to give you your delivery. And this time around, we didn't even get a slip!

On a separate occasion my husband literally offered to let a FedEx driver into our building, seeing he was there by the entrance. He actually refused the offer, left a slip for someone else, and left.

When you compare FedEx's terrible delivery service to Amazon, which is extremely diligent, timely, and also has live tracking now on their app for your deliveries... it becomes that much more inexcusable how this company operates.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I have always appreciated the delivery drivers and the hard work that they do. More so, I have always preferred FedEx over other carriers as a better service provider. My recent experience with FedEx dealing with the Cambridge 50 Barnes Rd. station has been a bad one.

My package arriving from NJ was shipped on the 5th, cleared from customs in Mississauga on the 7th, it then arrived at the Cambridge Station the same day. It was held in Cambridge with status showing delayed for an entire week.

Multiple calls to customer service yielded nothing. The customer service itself was good to try and escalate the case, reach out to the station. But no one would attend the internal customer service agent. I was promised call back in 60 minutes from the station, email which did not happen. While the FedEx customer service did their best, the station in Cambridge was unresponsive.

At which point, you need to ask where are all these escalations going, who is attending to them, is there any meaning to the word escalation, priority etc. Its like FedEx putting their customer service agents in the line of fire only as a dumping place for customer queries and complaints to not attend to. I can generalize FedEx but atleast this particular location in this case. That's disrespectful of your own company staff, no accountability, no consequences to their action. Where does the customer go in that case? Better off with other carriers with FedEx losing their business.

I was also told that the FedEx Express and standard ground business units has merged and now the same driver was delivering both. Which means if you have a standard delivery, your package will be bumped down in priority for them to choose the express packages and this will happen everyday until they are probably coming around the vicinity of your area to deliver some other express package. That's a bad move, terrible strategy to dilute quality of service.

I checked the status on the night of Sept 13th after 11pm out of curiosity as I was told there would be a delivery. Apparently, the package is now held at the station for pickup for me to go and fetch it. The update was posted past 10pm at night. I was checking it the whole day and it still said "delayed", not even out for delivery and then all of a sudden past 10pm it's held for me to go and pick up. Also to be fully transparent, it looks like someone called me around that time and left me a voicemail to inform me the package is held for pickup. I am not sure if a delivery attempt was made or not, if it was made, when did that happen, why was there no status update online of out fit delivery, why did it go back, why did the driver not call using the building entrance intercom for access. I am aware that my building locks the main door past a certain time for security with no access even to the intercom panel. I'd still not expect them to try to come past that time to make a delivery, with no notification online.

I went to pick it up Saturday just after the station opened to the public at 11am. There were a few others in the line with similar issues. The person upfront was helping a woman pack her contents while 3 others stood in line. The person in front of me was there the previous night awaiting an urgent delivery and was asked to come back in yet morning and was asked to wait again.
This station is an utter mess. I don't know at which level of hierarchy does it become a mess, but I don't think it's the people actually interacting with customers, rather goes up the chain at supervisor, mid managerial or even higher. Unfortunately, my review will at best reach just that level for anyone to action it. But this is more for the general public around the area as a fyi if you are giving your business to FedEx.

UPDATE:

I ended up going to the branch on September 10 to figure out what was happening with my package. I was first in line, and the employee who helped me explained that they were behind due to an acquisition/merger the week before. If I remember right, she mentioned they were dealing with around 50,000 delayed packages.

I shared my concerns and made sure all my info was updated in their system. Unfortunately, it seems they don’t have the manpower to check tickets or issues submitted by online representatives, so you really have to go in person. She promised to escalate the issue to her manager, and luckily, I got a call later that day around 4 PM saying my package was ready for pickup. I went back to the branch and picked it up just to finally get it done.

While I’m grateful for the quick action, it’s still frustrating. My company paid for delivery, but I had to spend time and money on public transportation and Uber rides—one to check on my package and another to pick it up—when it should have been delivered to my door.

I'm incredibly frustrated and want to share a detailed review here since I'm unsure where else to voice my complaint.

I have a package coming from Orlando, Florida that was picked up on September 4 at 12:18 PM and arrived in Mississauga, ON on September 5 at 5:58 AM. Initially, I was impressed with how quickly the package was being delivered. It was an International Priority shipment, so I suppose that speed was expected. The package was held for international shipment release - import at 7:17 AM in Mississauga and was released by customs at 7:24 AM (according to FedEx customer service—yes, I’ve been calling a lot). The customer service representative also mentioned that the package arrived in Cambridge, ON around 9:24 AM on September 5, and that’s when all the trouble started. Please note that this package is urgent as it relates to my work.

There were no further delivery updates until September 6 at 10:50 AM, when I was informed that my package would be delivered by 5 PM that day. It’s also suspicious how the website updates don’t match what the first customer service rep told me about the package being released from customs on September 5 at 7:24 AM and already arriving in Cambridge on September 5 at 9:24 AM.

On September 6, I waited for my package and kept calling customer service. During a call around 1 PM, the representative asked for the buzzer code for my apartment and confirmed my delivery address. At 4:30 PM, I called customer service again to confirm my address, and they assured me it would be delivered by 8 PM at the latest.

When I checked the tracking website at 5 PM, there was a new update stating that my package was delayed and would now be delivered on Monday, September 9. The status had even been updated at 4:45 PM to “customer not available.” Really? I received no call, no email, and no one even used the buzzer. They didn’t attempt to check the system for the buzzer code and simply left, blaming the customer for being unreachable.

Do they expect customers to stand outside their apartment buildings waiting for delivery? When I called customer service again, I was told the driver didn’t have my buzzer code. It was sent, but apparently, they didn’t check since they were already on the road. Additionally, drivers aren’t supposed to contact customers. Seriously? It seems like there's a lack of organization and a poor system in place. I've also read reviews with similar complaints. Or we don’t know, maybe the drivers didn’t even try to deliver ‍♀️

This is incredibly frustrating, and I hope someone takes action. FedEx is generally a reputable company, but the local FedEx service here, specifically CAMBRIDGE, is extremely disappointing and unsatisfactory.

Our government officials in Ontario and Canada NEED to restrict FedEx’s abilities to do business until they prove that they can operate competently. As things are now it’s a joke, they don’t know where your package is and they’ll deliver it tomorrow, and the next day. Some people and businesses NEED these items. We’ll try our best isn’t good enough anymore. I’d kill myself if I worked for a company this stupid.

Im not impatient but please stop lying to me. My package shipped 8 days ago from AB to ON. Was supposed to be delivered on day 4. For the past 3 days the package tracking has stated out for delivery with an aprox arrival time. Only for the time to keep getting pushed back each day. Why is this tracking information so inaccurate? This isnt the first time, its about the 10th time in the past year ive had this problem with FedEx.

Friendly folks providing after hours drop off and pick-up services. Busy place, but the staff managed the demand at their counter with grace and patience.

Finding my package in their distribution center proved more difficult, but in the end, their internal service outage was rectified, and I left satisfied.
