Customer service was lacking. Woman at the front had a bad attitude and wasn't very friendly. Asked politely if I could use the washroom and she gave me attitude and said "it's not for the public". Was going to buy a fishing rod and other items and her attitude made me decide not to.

The store has good snacks. On Sundays is open and there are variety of products.

Customer service is bad on the part of the cashier. It seems that she is angry with a bad attitude. She doesn't like her work or a courtesy greeting to the customer. I don't even want to go to the store to buy.

If you're taking The Canadian through Ontario, this marks the perfect (and really only) spot to quickly hop off the train, explore a classic Northern Ontario town, and save yourself from going crazy after passing nothing but trees for hours - or even days! You don't get much time before the train leaves, so make sure your running shoes are tied, and the minute the train stops in Hornepayne be at the front of the line to come here to avoid the soon-to-be-formed long lines.

They have everything you could want onboard the train, like basic food staples to personal hygiene products to water and soda to even Hornepayne souvenirs (yes, my favorite postcard I have in my large collection is indeed the postcard of beautiful, bustling, iconic, Hornepayne, Ontario).

Don't dally, ponder ahead of time what resupplies you'd like onboard the train, and you'll be in and out of this oasis in no time with all the goodies you need to survive the trek to either Toronto or Winnipeg. Good luck!
