I had a fantastic experience with Get Movers! Their team was professional, punctual, and very careful with my belongings. They made the entire moving process so smooth and hassle-free. I especially appreciated how they handled my fragile items.

I booked a move with them for the end of May, in April. I ended up trying to move myself, and they refunded my deposit to me. My uhaul ended up being cancelled, and I re-booked with them a few days before my move.

Pick-up on Friday, store in the truck overnight, and deliver on Saturday. Arrival between 9-10am Friday, they texted me at 9:50 that there has been a problem with the truck, they can't do the storage so they can't do my move. I call them multiple times, and they say they aren't sure if they can get another truck.

I then call another company, Easy Moving Solutions, and they were at my place within an hour. Get Movers calls me back at 11:15 and tells me they have a truck for 12, I said don't bother I needed to move today and couldn't wait any longer for you. The driver of the truck calls me 10 mins later and tells me he will be at my place at 2. I also tell him don't bother.

Now they are refusing to give my $150.00 deposit back as they are saying I cancelled on them, after they told me they did not have a truck for my move. The customer service Manager told me that because I cancelled on them after they told me they did not have a truck, I don't get my money back.

This company is a bunch of SCAMMERS. Tom will tell you he " Won't get you down" but apparently that is all this company does. First they won't show up, then they won't give your deposit back.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. COMPANY IS A BUNCH OF FRAUDS

Get Movers carried my antique bookshelf like it was a baby. Super careful and respectful. Moved me to Laurelwood—no scratches, no attitude. Love that.

Worst service i have had so far. I had a flat-rate contract for a three bedroom house. Crew came late by an hour and picked up all the small items that were not on the list, leaving a lot of main items in the first trip. They took about 4 hours for the first move and told me that they would not move the rest of the items unless hourly rates are paid. I was pretty much forced to pay an additional $300 as I had to move by April 15, 2025. Hope people read this review, and get a detailed contract before they move...

BTW, many of my items have scratches and missing items (for example, lamp missing the switching knobs)..

Moving from Waterloo to Kitchener, Get Movers made it ridiculously easy. Owen and Ben worked together like a well-oiled machine. My plants, my records, everything arrived in perfect condition!

I would like to start by saying this review is in no way a reflection of the men that helped me move. The actual movers worked hard given the circumstances. My review is directed at the Management of GetMovers. As it is unprofessional, unreliable and in my opinion non-existent.

Do yourself the favor and don't use this company - please listen to the bad reviews.

Firstly, the movers who were originally scheduled had car issues, which resulted in a team coming 2 hours later than scheduled. I received no communication that they were going to be late, even after an hour had passed. I had to make dozens of calls before ANYONE answered the phone and wasn't given an ETA until one of the drivers called me saying they were 10 minutes away. Once they arrived they got to work, clearly exhausted as they weren't originally scheduled for this job.

My building charges for the elevator to be booked/reserved for moves. I reserved and paid for 3 hours. Because they were late I had to hold the elevator for a total of 5 hours and was charged extra fees. Had they arrived on time I wouldn't have been charged these late fees and they could have been done at my pickup location in under 3 realistically.

Once the movers arrived at my drop-off location, both my boyfriend and I helped unload the truck, despite paying for the moving company. It was already 10:00 PM and we all wanted to go home, it was an extremely hot and humid evening. I couldn't imagine how long it would have taken had we not helped. This is ridiculous considering I hired a moving company so I didn't have to move my own belongings but ended up doing anyways AND paying for it.

Because all of this was so poorly communicated and not one single call was made to me to apologize AND I actually helped moving despite paying for a company to do it. I submitted a claim, as they directed to me too.

Here's where management becomes a joke. They have been dodging my calls and emails for near 2 weeks. I keep getting a "Someone is working on it" "Someone will call you back in the next hour" Yeah well it's been a week. I only went with this company due to a last minute move, their reviews seemed reasonable. But let me just say BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. I would absolutely never recommend this moving company due to their Management being a complete nightmare.

Update: months down the line opening up a clearly labeled and packed VERY FRAGILE box. All vintage china from my late grandma shattered. Avoid at all costs
