I would never recommend or use Global International again !
My shipment to Germany consisted of 14 small items and was to reach my German address within 6 to 7 weeks.
Jim was my contact person and he was very communicative until such time when I made my fairly substantial payment at which point he completely pulled the plug on ANY communication despite my several attempts. Eight weeks into my waiting I contacted Global's German partner for this shipment who also had not been given any information by Global.
However, after 16 weeks (four months) my items finally arrived.
I still wonder, has Jim has ever heard of Customer Service ?

It cost more than the quote.

We used Global International from Markham Ontario. We paid for packing, shipping and delivery of our belongings from Canada to our new home in the UK.

When we got to the UK. Global International refused to forward payment to the UK moving company to deliver our belongings. Global International stated cash flow issues. So, we had to pay extra to the UK moving company to have our belongings delivered to our new home.

It just made a very stressful situation a lot worse.

We used global international for our move from Toronto to UK. They provided us with fantastic service from start to finish. They came and collected all our goods and did an inventory and labelled all the boxes so that when we received them we knew what was in each box without having to unwrap them. They even brought a carpet with them to make sure our floors were protected. 10/10 cannot recommend this company enough. You won’t find better service or price.

Global came in with by far the lowest quote for our move from Toronto to London, UK. I was concerned that they might not be a reputable company but we decided to go with them. Pete was true to his word and ever available on the phone to answer any question or anxiety I had. We packed anything that was not breakable and on the 2 days the crew packed up everything else, Geri and her team were thorough, courteous and efficient. It could not have gone more smoothly. So far everything we have unpacked has arrived unbroken as well. Once in the UK the things did get handed over to another company and I was less impressed with their service but Global were excellent and helped us save a lot of money during a huge move

Both Pete and Jim were extremely helpful and accommodating when it came to shipping my home. They are upfront about the process. It’s naive to believe things won’t get damaged when being moved. You aren’t using Global International to move across town; it’s for overseas/long distances.

I have shipped my goods from Canada to India on May 16th and still waiting ( today is aug 19) in India for the goods. They gave the ETA of 13 July to deliver the goods. Irresponsible company and they never respond to emails or answer your phone after taking money and goods.
If you plan to use this company then you are inviting yourself into trouble. Stay away from their sweet talks. After many attempts to receive my goods I am going legal to get an update on my goods and delivery date. Unnecessary headaches and tensions and also expensive.

My advice is to stay from this company and inform your nearest and dearest ones to keep away from trouble

Everything went well with the actual shipping from Canada to Europe. However they were extremely unresponsive to queries and questions and no updates were provided along the way. There was a receipt only for half of the actually payed moving cost. No further receipts were provided after multiple attempts to contact them.
