Wasn't sure what size storage unit I needed. Took me around to show me sizes. Was very helpful.

Do not recommend
worst customer service skills ever. Signed a contract and paid for the unit and when we came to move our stuff in the unit had already been rented and they could not find the contract that I had clearly in my email. Had to pay our moving company for an extra 3 hours while they tracked down a useable unit for us and when we gave notice to move out we were told oh well that they had messed up we still have to pay an extra month of storage that’s not needed because we were one day past the days to give notice and we’re told we then have to give notice again for that month once it’s paid
shady business practices and terrible service will never use their services again and given absolutely nothing for compensation for the money we had to pay our movers for their mistakes absolute bull

Mr. Campbell is such a wonderful man. He saved us during our move twice. Once by having a storage unit on literally no notice. Then he had a moving truck for us in the same scenario. He is super accommodating and flexible. An absolute pleasure to deal with!!

I'd NEVER recommend this place. I rented a shipping container for almost a year. When I started moving stuff out, I found mold on an old trunk. Peter Sr. insisted it came in wet. There was zero possibility of that. I was dead certain of it. He offered 2 weeks of free storage as I'd only paid until the middle of July, hoping to be out by then. But that was the extent of his dealing with the situation despite knowing how unhappy I was.

When I arrived on July 30th to finish loading things up (I still had 2 days), he was very clear, rude almost, in telling me I needed to be out by the end of the month. What did he think I was there for He also reiterated how he'd given me 2 weeks of free storage, I could almost see him patting himself on the back. I told him again there was no way that trunk came in wet. I asked for the key to the gate, something I had to do pretty much every time I went there. That was a nuisance, the gate should've been unlocked during business hours, which are incredibly inconvenient being just 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. He knew I had trouble making it there between those hours and never once offered to let me come afterwards. I did find out later he's offered it to others. So I guess he chooses when he wants to be more accommodating or not.

While I was loading my truck, Peter Jr showed up to take a look at the container. He said perhaps it was moisture that had developed on the inside when the weather went from cold to warm. I sure as hell did not rent a shipping container for almost a year to have that possibly happen! And why wasn't anything else moldy? The couch or the mattresses up against the walls surely would've been. This trunk getting wet/moldy coincided with the flash floods we'd had. It had gotten wet from the bottom of the container, not the top. Peter Jr finished looking around and went back to the office. I left the couch and the trunk for the following day. I was tired from moving in 30-plus degree weather.

And even though the owner was aware I'd be back the next day (I have no doubt he'd gone to see if I'd moved everything, he did tell me he'd just been in there days before. Without my permission), I still had to go and get the key for the gate. Park. Go get the key. Sometimes wait  while he's talking on the phone or playing games on his computer. Drive to the gate. Park. Get out and unlock the gate. Drive to the shipping container. And do it all over again when I left because I was nice enough to lock up behind me (except for that last day). Not my job!

I dropped the key off off. That was it. No offer of getting the trunk cleaned, reimbursing me a portion of the storage fees (well over 2 grand), nothing. Neither Peter Sr nor Peter Jr cared enough to do anything. And why would they? I was leaving. They'd gotten their money out of me.

I now have a moldy trunk I can't bring into my home. The owner thinks he's some great guy because he gave me $105 worth of free storage Big deal. I searched for other online reviews and found one that had similarities to mine. When I first called Peter Sr about renting a space from him, he could do this, he could do that, he looked out for people, he really pumped himself up and he had no problem bashing other companies. I didn't like that but my aunt had just died and I needed a location that was close to my home, so I ignored it. In hindsight, that should've been my first clue to rent somewhere else. Take this review as yours to go elsewhere.

If you ever have any issues with your belongings while they're in storage, they're not going to do anything about it, they will blame it on you. They'll take your money straight to the bank and not lose a wink of sleep over "your problem". If I wasn't so exhausted from looking after my mother and her dying husband for the last year-and-a-half, I would've kicked up a tremendous fuss.

As far as storage units go, I guess it's ok. Just make sure you read the sign on the wall by the counter. If you dont give them so much notice, I think it said a week, of when you'll be cleaning out your unit (like we didnt) you get charged another month. Like, what? As if moving isnt expensive enough.

If you wanna see your stuff don't keep it here, they close random times and random days as if the hours aren't already super short. When you need in there they don't even answer you. Their prices aren't the best either.

Excellent place to store your stuff. Hassle free and had no problems. The guy who runs it is very cool and also a very lovely person. Very flexible and totally accommodating.

I would highly recommend Hart U-Stor as they are one of the few companies out there that has you back. The owner, Peter, is very personable and takes the stress out of moving.
