While having lunch at a local bar, we happened to eavesdrop on a conversation between our server and a guest. Clearly, these two are friendly. They began talking and laughing about an event that happened, and our server began telling the guest that she told a bunch of people that someone was "killed" at the nursing home and that she was under review from HR, but nothing will ever come of it. She began discussing and laughing about the ordeal to the guest and even said the names of the residents in question. This is disgusting. After reading the 1-star reviews. I can see the type of people who get hire here.

Avoid sending your loved ones to this facility at all costs. The PSWs and a fair bit of the nurses are rude, so filled with attitude and what would seem contempt for their job, I highly doubt they give any thoughts to their patients. They seem to forget that these are human beings, someone’s family, who more often than not are dying. But GOD forbid you call and ask for an update, you’re just interrupting their phone scrolling, trust me, I’ve watched them sit in the nurses station aimlessly staring at their phones ignoring my request for something for my loved one. I’ve even been told when I called, “I don’t know I didn’t check, I have other priorities “ or when asking how the patient is “ okay I think? I don’t know did something happen?” . Cool. Cool. The Director of Care has listened to my complaints, and does have compassion, unfortunately I think the good majority of the staff could care less. These people are just a paycheck to them, get in a different line of work honestly. Send them anywhere else, just trust me.

A friend of mines parent is in this LTC home and the stories I hear are mind blowing. I understand staffing shortages etc., but that is no excuse for some of the things I hear. Just makes me shake my head.
