I needed to ship personal items from Canada to Austria that had been in storage for 5 years. Due to the nature of the situation, I was unsure of the exact moving date and volume or contents of the shipment when I requested the quote.

Of the 10 companies I asked, only Huli provided professional, detailed, itemized quotes for several scenarios. (Other companies sent a one-liner email with $5000 +/- $5000.)

I was promptly contacted by the sales agent, Alex, who patiently went over my exact situation, answered my multitude of questions and concerns, and happily accommodated my uncertain situation. Alex was all around marvellous. He was personable, highly competent, and always reachable, which did so much so alleviate the stress of an international move with a tight timeline.

My logistics coordinator at times hard to reach and not as accommodating, and a couple issues were solved by contacting the sales agent, who then contacted the logistics coordinator, but overall they were very friendly.

The moving company in Halifax hired by Huli were very professional and had excellent communication.

As most communication happened digitally, I think it would be helpful to have a customer dashboard where communications, costs, forms, and deadlines could be kept track of in one place, rather than searching through various emails.

Unfortunately, my experience with the transfer agent (Euroconsol) has been a nightmare, including a lack of sufficient English abilities to facilitate meaningful communication. Due to this, I cannot give 5/5 stars. I would strongly recommend Huli consider other shipping partners.

All in all, my interactions with Huli reduced moving stress and worries. Though mine was likely one of their lowest cost moves, I always felt like I was a priority and I can gladly recommend Huli to future customers.

We used Huli to ship from Calgary to Belfast (UK), had a great experience with them. Alex and Dianne worked with us answering all our questions and ensured everything made it to Belfast. Communication was quick and clear, only thing is we just had to follow up on the status of the shipment after it went past the estimated time of arrival which is obviously out of Huli's control. Besides that we had a bed frame damaged in transit but Huli was able to come to an agreement with us and compensated for the item and said that they'd make sure to follow up to prevent that scenario in the future. All in all very positive experience and I would recommend others to use them as the value of the service is equal to the amount you'd be paying, Cheers!

From assisting in all the international forms , packing of items, transporting items and guiding me with computer issues, accurate updates on transportation and follow up! Great experience with Huli International Movers. I shipped my antique piano to Romania. It was very well wrapped and taken care of. From very first call Sam was nice to me when booking and Olha was very transparent for the rest of logistics. My piano got delivered the same way we had it. Exceptional job guys! We recently used Huli Shipping Company to move our belongings from Toronto to Calgary. The overall timeline was about 20 days from pick-up to delivery, which was manageable. Here’s a breakdown of our experience:

Pick-up Process: The initial pick-up went smoothly. The movers arrived at the scheduled time and moved our things out efficiently. They do, however, keep disassembly to a minimum—only the essentials are taken apart—so don’t expect everything to be as compact as possible.

Communication: This is an area that could use some improvement. We had to follow up frequently to get updates and resolve issues. For example, our invoice had errors, but to their credit, Huli’s team addressed the issue promptly.

Payment Process: Completing the payment was unexpectedly challenging. They do not have an online payment portal to complete the payment, you have the option to wire transfer or Interac e-transfer. When we attempted to pay via Interac as this was fastest, the transaction was intercepted by an unauthorized email address, which was fortunately caught by our bank so we didn't end up losing the money. We then opted to go for a wire transfer, which was secure but cost us an extra C$50.

Delivery and Unloading: This was the most disappointing part of our experience. On the day of delivery, the first set of movers who arrived in the morning seemed unprepared and unprofessional. They opened the truck and immediately started complaining about the volume of items, even asking us to assist with carrying them to our apartment. It was surprising and disappointing that they were unaware of the delivery being to an apartment and seemed shocked by the amount of cargo—despite having transported it themselves. This situation reflects poor logistical management.
Additionally, the handling of our belongings left much to be desired. One of the movers dragged our desk across the concrete floor without using a dolly, the kitchen cart wheels also suffered damage—one wheel came off entirely, and another was flattened, likely due to excessive weight being put on it during transit.
That said, we appreciate that different movers were arranged on the same day to complete the delivery in the afternoon. This team was professional and handled the unloading efficiently, which somewhat helped salvage the situation.

In conclusion, while Huli Shipping Company did get our belongings from Toronto to Calgary, the experience was marred by inconvenience with payment, and a poorly managed delivery. For the price, we expected a smoother process, especially with the unloading. I hope Huli Shipping takes this feedback constructively and works on refining their logistics and communication processes to ensure that future customers do not encounter similar issues.

The photos speak for themselves however take note:
-Partial containers are only insured for total loss.
-The deposit can be paid by card however the remainder is by cash.
-Be very clear about the service you would like. Despite a number of calls and emails, it took a while to get on the same page.
-After 4 transatlantic moves, I have only had one glass broken. This move was horrific - smashed dining room table base, bed frame, trunk…..some of the boxes could not be carried as so destroyed.
-No, I cannot recommend Huli especially in light of how they handled the situation.
