Good Islamic School with a healthy learning environment. The management and the Principal are dedicated towards the education and needs of the children. The children have a sense of belonging towards this school. Their facilities have improved significantly over the years.

The ISOC provides high quality education to students from a young age, while encouraging them to maintain their Islamic beliefs; an advantage that is not present in today’s public schooling system. Teachers care for and work closely with each student to ensure that their academic and personal growth needs are being met. The school community is very welcoming and the administration cares to protect the high standard of academics at the school while raising the new generation of Muslims with proper Islamic values. Parents are kept well-informed of the progress of their children. The ISOC has an all-around warm and nurturing atmosphere, with lots of educational and fun opportunities available for its students year-round, including science fairs, spelling bees, cultural potlucks, Quran recitation competitions, art contests, field trips, monthly assemblies, and more. I am very happy with the quality of care and education at this institution and would recommend this school to all Muslim parents looking for their children to have high quality and Islamic education.

The receptionist was very nice , but the school refused my kids. I was told that the exam or the test they do for kids it’s just like meeting with the kids but it was a whole test they were expected to complete in an hour. how can we turn kids away for not doing well on this test when the whole purpose of a school is to teach kids so they can do well on exams and in the real world. Our kids have suffered through Covid and that has effected them academically none of that has been taken into consideration. Instead of helping kids do better they turn them away like they are not good enough. I have lost respect for this school and the administration running the school. We want options for our kids that align with our beliefs and even when we were ready and willing to pay the hefty price we were still turned away.

I tried enrolling my kids and they were turned away. My son has delayed language disorder while my daughter is as they claimed “dyslexic” because she sometimes writes her letters/numbers backwards. They have an entrance exam. It’s not designed to determine a child’s strengths or weaknesses so they can see how to help that child- rather it’s to turn certain children away. They claim not to have enough funding for resources saying that the school is a “service” not a “business” yet still charge a non refundable fee to write the exam (amongst many other fees, and a quote for monthly pricing that they said could still change). If a child is neurodivergent in any way they basically can’t go to this school. My daughter was so upset- she genuinely wanted to attend. I was really hopeful she would as she is bullied in her current school. The teachers seem great, the office staff are beyond nice, however the principal is problematic. Knowing my daughter has an IEP he immediately said he “could not accept her here” as she would be a “disturbance” to the whole class. He made assumptions about her character/behaviour without knowing or asking about any of the particulars surrounding her IEP.
A few years ago I heard they won the highest EQAO scores and I remember thinking “wow they must have great teachers” but I know now that the teachers are only one part of the equation- they have no neurodivergent, IEP, differently abled students. My spirit felt broken leaving the school.

Be aware of this school. Its a disaster. They have unqualified staff which is due to the reason teachers are getting low salaries. They would hire anyone who has a degree, dont care about formal educational training. As a result this totally impacts child development. We tried and my son was there for sometime but it turned out very bad. Grievances are not listened, instead the administration will blame your child. Their internal system is worst. Short staffed. There is only one person for administration. The principal is not a competent person to run this school. Resources for teachers n students are just a show off, teachers are not allowed to use resources as it will be consumed and the school will have to buy more. School administration has a worst attitude towards their teachers which makes it even more worst. Teachers are short staffed as well.

Great Islamic school with high standards of academics and follows Ontario curriculum
Safe and wonderful environment for our kids
Teach kids the Islamic rules with kindness and compassion and respect all cultures
Happy and grateful to have this school where we live
Administrators always welcomed us and have a great responsibility for all the students and staff
Our kids deserve the best and this place is awesome ?

The efforts of the of the teaching and non teaching staff of the school are highly appreciated. May Allah SWT reward you all for helping to build a stronger muslim community in Cambridge. Our children enjoy every aspect of the school experience and the hifz program is fantastic. Jazakhallah Khairan!
