What happened! Up until 2 weeks ago the food was amazing. We ordered take-out from Jade Yi's often.
Tonight we had inedible chicken balls and the fried rice was not up to their normal standards. We spent almost $100 for 3 people. Now we will think about our other options for Chinese food the next time we order.
Such a shame we have been loyal customers for since we lived in Beaverbrook.
Maybe a refund of a credit for another meal to pro that want our business is in order because tonight's meal was horrible.

We went there on recommendation. It is small restaurant. It is clearly a family place. The food is very spicy but you can ask to tone it done. I love general tso’s chicken but it was spicy. The service is friendly and prompt. The decor was functional and clean.
We have been twice. I would go again.

I have only ever ordered in but this is some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. It’s always fresh, warm and delicious. I have ordered twice and both times I was very impressed. Portions are good and come with a mix of veggies and meat. I really recommend. Would love to see more sustainable packaging in the future (but that goes with most takeout spots).

Review from December 2023: new restaurant location near the Kowloon Market. The interior is completely different and clean. Small note: This is a Cantonese restaurant not Canadian Chinese food, although there are some dishes that are westernized that I would recommend too.

- Spring rolls are good.
- sweet and sour pork was good. Tender.
- Black bean rice noodles with beef are probably the best in Kanata Stittsville. Better than Rideau restaurant that closed down, Café Orient. Maybe better than Ng’s on Merivale. I have finally found a good restaurant with Xi Jiu Nau Ho!

- They have dimsum all day except a few items like har gow (steamed shrimp dumpling) and dan tat (egg tart) that is also served until 2pm.

The pricing was fine in the restaurant and the service was good and efficient. I will return to try more dishes.

Tender pepper beef -good.

Pepper salt porkchops - Tasted good... but not as good as the shrimp.

Steamed shrimp balls (3) - very good!

Cantonese noodles - very good! Lots of tender chicken, broccoli, bbq pork, etc...

Pepper salt shrimp - best in town. Didn't have shells and the taste of the batter is delicious!

Looks to be a small family-owned place. The combo menu is a fairly good deal but could use a bit more meat in proportion to the rice. The pork shiu mai was a good size for the price. Everything tasted great. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

What happened? This used to be our favorite take away. Ordered $185 worth of food last night, very bland, everything but the seafood dishes tasted the same. Too many cheap vegetables added to the dishes for fillers. Plum sauce, although tasty is runny like water. Open end egg rolls are so salty. Unfortunately, that was probably our last visit, money is too dear to waste on on ho hum food.

I got takeout from here earlier this week as I wanted to try somewhere different than I normally go to for Chinese. The food was so good I will only be getting from this restaurant from now on!!! So yummy and fresh.
