I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received from Kami Cabs. After accidentally leaving my phone in one of their vehicles, I contacted the company to retrieve it. Shockingly, the driver demanded money in exchange for returning my own personal property, which is both unethical and potentially unlawful.

To make matters worse, when I contacted the dispatcher for assistance, they were dismissive and unhelpful. Rather than taking the issue seriously or offering support, the dispatcher was rude and appeared unconcerned about the misconduct of their driver.

This experience raises serious concerns about the professionalism, accountability, and integrity of Kami Cabs. I strongly urge the company to review this incident and implement proper training and disciplinary measures to prevent similar issues in the future.

Until action is taken to address these serious concerns, I cannot recommend Kami Cabs to anyone seeking reliable or trustworthy service.

Horrible service!! A medical center I had been at called for a cab to pick me up to take me home. I was waiting outside the building and suddenly a man approached and asked if I was waiting for a taxi. I said yes, and got up, then he started yelling at me, saying he'd been waiting for 7 minutes for me. I was like, I'm sorry, I didn't see you (he pointed at the cab, halfway down the block). He continued yelling at me about making him wait and when I told him I didn't appreciate getting yelled at, he literally stuck his finger in my face and said, "do you want a taxi ride or not?" I said "of course, that's why you're here, but I don't want to be yelled at just because I didn't see you!" He then said "don't you talk to me like that!" I said, ", your job is customer service and you're not doing a very good job right now." So he refused me service. Unreal rudeness and uncalled for behaviour.

Just want to share this evening horrible service from kami cabs. We waited in front of hotel lobby for cab and multiple drove passed and picked up Randoms at an event next door to hotel even though multiple calls to dispatch asked for a cab to lobby we were waiting at. You would think a specific call to dispatch would prioritize one of them instead of drivers just pulling up to crosswalk and picking up people just waiting for one to come up.

I live at the university residence which is fairly close to superstore and FreshCo supermarkets. After grocery shopping I sometimes get a cab because I have lots of heavy grocery bags. Every single time my drivers complain that I “could have walked”. I know that it is a 5 minute walk and I do walk when I am able to but when I have multiple heavy bags I prefer not to, I do not appreciate being complained to every time I take a short distance cab! If they don’t feel like taking the short trip I’d much rather they don’t take the ride than show up and start being rude about it. It makes me not want to take cami cabs anymore because all the drivers are like this! It’s terrible service and incredibly rude and ignorant. Of course for them it’s a short ride because they are driving but for me it would be a gruelling walk. Kami Cabs do better and hire more considerate drivers, or at least tell them not to complain so much if they decide to take the ride.

Would give a 0 if I could. Called 24hrs in advance for a 4am sharp pickup to the airport. No one showed up so I call them - “err, hi sir, we are going to be late”.

If it wasn’t for some quick thinking, alternative plans and speeding, I would have missed my flight.

Maybe don’t argue with your customers about the address? They were dispatched to the wrong address and when they called I explained that they were at the wrong address they argued with me about it. I told them regardless of how it happened to come to the correct address and they refused and told me to call the dispatcher. I called and they said they would send someone but didn’t give a time frame and they never showed up. Ended up calling yellow cabs and they showed up in 15min

Earlier tonight I took the second of two rides with Kami Cabs.

The first one went off without a hitch and the driver even gave us his personal card for when we needed to go home so we could call him personally. Unfortunately we weren't able to find it and it was cold outside so we just decided to call their main number. When the driver arrived he seemed relatively nice. We had three passengers all together and needed to drop one off at a gas station while another one of the passengers went in to the gas station to grab a few items. During this time while I was the only customer in the vehicle seated in the passenger front seat, the cab driver repeatedly asked me quote how long is he going to be" "he can be like three maybe four minutes but I need to get back to headquarters" apparent rush was never mentioned initially when he picked us up either before or after we told him where we were going.

Well my friend was in the gas station waiting in line and the driver was getting increasingly frustrated with how long the lineup was taking, a random stranger standing outside the gas station asked if he could charge his phone inside of the cab and the cab driver happily obliged this completely unnecessary act which is in no way part of his job description and obviously only increases the amount of time that it will take him to get back to his home base.

About 4 minutes later when my friend got back into the cab, the cab driver was driving nearly 70 miles an hour onto an on-ramp like a bat out of hell putting us all in danger, and when we asked him to slow down he asked what the problem was as if he was clueless about traffic laws and high-speed fatality crashes.

Moments later we arrived at my residence and when my partner went to pay he apparently wasn't happy with just getting the amount on the meter even though for at least half of the ride he literally was sitting in his vehicle since the ride was only maybe 10 minutes all together and she only spent 5 minutes of it actually driving and racked up a $20 cab fee. He was not happy with just receiving that so after I grabbed my purse he quickly grabbed onto my other bag containing my wallet and other very personal items and was refusing to give my bag back to me. I told him that this was officially a robbery and asked to have my bag back immediately, to which she only held on to it harder and held it further away from me at that point I was beyond furious and grabbed it, he at this point still did not let go until my friends saw what was happening and came up to his driver's side open window to which he very quickly rolled it up and then I quickly forcefully jerked my other bag out of his hand and at that point he finally let go it.

Immediately after within 2 minutes I called kamikabs to put in a formal complaint about the driver, to which they said they were going to simply put him on a 24-hour suspension and they did not even listen to the full story before very rudely hanging up on me. The tldr of this is to never ever call kamikabs if you are in Kamloops and looking for a taxi. I would take a bus or walk any day over hiring this horrible poor excuse for a cab company. Unfortunately Uber and Lyft do not exist in this God forsaken town though they very much would be very welcome because we only have two cab companies here and both in fact are quite horrible if he reads the reviews.

While teaching my teen how to drive on Schubert Ave on a monday just before lunchtime, we had the kami cab handicap van speed around us. We were driving a safe speed just passed the school. I think they should have their drivers retested on how to drive safe. 👎
