This was the first pharmacy I went to in Sydney since I just moved here and it was awful.
Frist when I called to make sure my meds were ready the man that picked up claimed my medication orders from the hospital was never sent there the day before, and I had to ask him multiple time to even go check.
After having to say and spell my name so many times and he still repeat it back wrong (my name only has 5 letters and still getting it wrong) , he than finds a persons file w the same Frist name and different last name and try to tell me there meds and I told him that wasn't right.
Next spent the next 10mins on and off hold while he was looking for the faxed mediation orders.
Once he found it he told me it went to their " secret fax machine" 🧐 but it wasn't done even tho it was confirmed yesterday while I was still in hospital that it will be done for me to pick up the very next morning. Also you would think staff would check for any new or overnight orders faxed at the start of a shift, and complete work for the day before that was left before starting the current days work especially when orders are faxed from a hospital or doctors office.
He than told me it would be another 2 hrs for it to be ready. I was unhappy but I waited since I didn't have a choice.
I was there 2.5hr later to find out it wasn't done still.
I told the day staff I wasn't happy that this happened because I already had to jump through hoops to get my medication with this guy earlier in the day who had trouble understanding English.This should be a straight forward process, and I asked what was a "secret fax machine" was .. they had no clue what I was talking about. Because they only have ONE FAX MACHINE.
I will never go back there not worth the trouble and stress when already feeling pretty sick.

I will say the very last person I talked to at the desk said she report it to their manager, and was very nice about it. Do I actually think something will happen, no. but I do appreciate she was nice.

Lawtons was well stocked with merchandise, the place was very clean and tidy. The only staff member I dealt with was a nice young man and he provided very efficient service.

SAVED OUR VACATION!

The folks at Lawton's Drugs in Sydney saved our vacation, and were absolutely friendly, fabulous and super-responsive in the process. We were on a cruise, and my wife's mobility scooter basically died. I made a lucky call to Lawton's from the ship, and they were immediately on top of the situation, sent a repair tech to meet us at the ship less than an hour after docking, and fixed my wife's scooter on the spot (thankfully it just needed a battery replacement). The price was reasonable, the service was top-notch, and the great people at Lawton's helped make our vacation as great as we'd hoped. Thank you so very much! I highly recommend Lawton's Drugs.

Considering everyone is overworked these days... the staff are phenomenal. Be smart: call the day before and a reminder call the day of your prescription, and you'll have no issues. Patience, understanding for these heroes, continuing the fight during Colds, Covid, RSV, flu, and chronic health issues. This location and these employees are a blessing.

First pharmacy I’ve been to in Canada where the wait time to fill a prescription was more than 20 minutes. Average has always been around 15 minutes or less.
Was first told that it would be TWO HOURS to fill my prescription, and they knocked it down to still waiting OVER A FULL HOUR.
ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE WAIT TIME!!!

Terrible service trying to get refills on prescriptions, call in and give them 2-3 days and its 90 % chance it's never ready . Last 2 yrs it's fallen to below 1 star IMHO , even issuefor our entire family to get meds refilled . Ongoing issue that's getting worse.
Time to change pharmacies

It's a shame I need to write this negative review because the pharmicist really helped me but my credit card started getting used in California, New York and other places in Canada for purchased I did not make right after my purchase with it in this store. We were on a Holland America Zaandam cruise Aug 13-20, 2022 cruise and I started having sinus problems so we stopped in and I got some really good advice from the pharmacist which did work (Big Thank You!!!) and we paid at the front desk. I get texts and emails when any transaction is made on my card so got in touch with Chase credit card the next day and they took care of all the charges but either the store had a breach or someone there is not honest. Just got back this morning and now have to change all my auto charges to the new card...not nice 🙁
